Foundation pier system and method of use
A foundation support system and method of installing the foundation support system. The foundation support system includes a pier system for providing support beneath a foundation, a support member, and a heave plate attachable to a bottom surface of the foundation. The method includes driving a pier system using a ram, coupling a support member to the heave plate, and engaging the support member with the pier system.
Helical pile and bracket module comprising the same
Provided are a helical pile and a bracket module comprising the same. The helical pile includes a column body, at least a helical blade and a loading member. The column body has a fixing end, a loading end opposite to the fixing end, and a body section between the fixing end and the loading end. The helical blade is disposed on the column body between the fixing end and the loading end. The loading member is connected to the loading end of the column body and includes a flange. The ratio of the body diameter of the column body to the blade diameter of the helical blade ranges from 1:3 to 1:7. The helical pile features excellent compression bearing capacity and uplift bearing capacity due to its specific element-size ratio, and is applicable for installation in areas subject to harsh conditions or with peculiar geological features or soil conditions.
Support assembly for a building structure
A support assembly for supporting a building structure, the support assembly comprising: a pile adapted to be buried into a ground surface, the pile having a longitudinal axis; a pile head adapted to be secured to a top end of a pile, the pile head including a mounting member engaging the pile and an extendable member movably mounted to the mounting member, the extendable member being movable relative to the mounting member, along the longitudinal axis, the extendable member including: a support platform adapted to receive the support beam of the manufactured home's support frame thereon; and at least one holding member adapted to engage the building structure and to prevent movement of the support beam relative to the support platform.
Foundation pier bracket system
A foundation pier bracket system provides attachment of a pier shaft with a building or structure foundation such that the system provides securement to competent strata or soil below. The system can include a reinforcing sleeve and a bracket assembly. The bracket assembly can include a shaft receiving portion and a seat portion. The shaft receiving portion can define an aperture that is sized and shaped to receive a portion of the reinforcing sleeve therein. The seat portion can include a plurality of protruding members that protrude upwardly therefrom. The plurality of protruding members can be arranged such that they restrain lateral movement of a beam along the seat portion in at least one axis. The reinforcing sleeve can include a locking wedge that secures the reinforcing sleeve to the bracket assembly. A method of supporting a foundation of a building is also provided.
Marine Navigational Aid Apparatus and Method
A marine navigational aid for use with a piling. This marine navigational aid comprises a flexible wrap, at least one affixment mechanism coupled to the flexible wrap, and a plurality of alphanumeric characters disposed on an exterior side of the flexible wrap.
SUCTION PILE EQUIPMENT
Disclosed embodiments include a suction pile vent plug having a cylindrically-shaped body having a sealing element, a plurality of coupling features, and a handle connected to the cylindrically-shaped body. The sealing element is configured to form a watertight seal with walls of a suction pile vent into which the vent plug is installed. The plurality of coupling features are configured to engage with corresponding coupling features of the suction pile vent. The movable handle is configured to be moved into one or more locked configurations. Disclosed embodiments further include a suction pile vent having a hollow cylindrically-shaped body having coupling features. The coupling features are configured to engage with corresponding coupling features of a suction pile vent plug to thereby mechanically couple the suction pile vent plug to the suction pile vent. Disclosed embodiments further include a fluidic port that fluidically couples a suction pile to a removable fluidic coupling.
Open End Friction Pile
The open end friction pile comprises of four steel plates, four brackets, and one driving head. The steel plates have a first bend line and a second bend line that are equidistant from a distal end. The first bend line and second bend line of the steel plates are equidistant from each other creating a center portion. The brackets have a first bend line and a second bend line that are equidistant from a distal end. The first bend line and second bend line of the brackets are equidistant from each other creating a center portion. The bracket has a third bend line along the center portion. One bracket is connected to one steel plate along the distal ends and center portion. All four steel plates and four brackets concurrently connect along the distal ends to form two open-ends. A driving head is connected covering the top open-end.
Dual pile cap
A solar array support structure includes a first vertical pile extending from a ground to a first pile end, a second vertical pile extending from the ground to a second pile end, and a first pile cap attached to each of the first and second vertical piles, the first pile cap configured to account for a misalignment of at least one of the first vertical pile and the second vertical pile by providing for adjustable attachment locations for each of the first and second pile ends.
Foundation for a tower of a wind-turbine
Foundation for a tower of a wind turbine with at least three columns. The foundation includes a reinforced concrete pile corresponding to each of the tower columns. According to one embodiment the pile includes a bolt cage and a main reinforcement formed by a cylindrical framework made up of horizontal rings interconnected by vertical bars. The bolt cage is arranged inside the main reinforcement radially at a distance of less than 0.1 meters. Each of the piles resides in a hole formed in the ground. Concrete is not poured into the holes until the main reinforcements and bolt cages are placed therein and aligned with one another.
