Photovoltaic solar array support structure
10615738 · 2020-04-07 ·

A photovoltaic solar panel array support structure that has a negligible footprint and that may be adjustably sized in the future to accommodate an increase or decrease of the number of solar panel arrays. It is installed at a substantial elevation above ground level so as to allow unhampered, ongoing farming activities in the area directly below the solar panel array, including the use of large mechanized farm equipment. The photovoltaic solar panel array support structure utilizes a series of vertical pilings that support a pre-fabricated unitary segment platform upon which a solar panel system may be mounted and then lifted atop of the pilings as a single assembly. It is intended for erection and operation in locations where large-scale ground mounted solar panel arrays are not feasible.

A gripping assembly (1) designed to grasp cylindrical piles (CP) provided with a longitudinal axis (AL) in an end position: the assembly (1) comprising a first cylindrical body (10) provided with a central axis (CA) and delimited by a first upper flat face (2) and by a second lower flat face (3), parallel to each other and transversal to the central axis (CA) of the same first body (10) and a plurality of gripping members (12) evenly distributed around the central axis (CA) and radially movable to couple with one of the piles (CP) by friction: a lifting arm (20) comprising at least one support portion (22) arranged laterally with respect to a longitudinal diametral plane (M) carried by the first body (10) hinged to a plate (100)(100) integral with the first body (10) around a first axis (TAI) transversal to the diametral plane: the first axis (TAI) being arranged on the outside of the first body (10) on the side opposite to said second face (3) with respect to the first face (2).

Root-Like Expandable Foundation Pile

A root-like expandable foundation pile is disclosed. It includes a movable drill, a foundation body, a number of foundation blade, a foundation cap and a stopper. The foundation blades are designed to have the warped portion protruding outward, so that they can expand outward by rotating the root-like expandable foundation pile in a direction different from that makes the root-like expandable foundation pile drilled into the soil. Extra bearing capacity can be available from the expanded foundation blades. Time and cost of installation can both be saved.

Systems and methods for installing and stabilizing a pier

A device for stabilizing a metal pier installed in the ground. The device includes a device to provide lateral support to the pier and a shaft configured so that a force imposed, parallel to an axis of the pier, on the device is not imposed on the pier.
