SYSTEMS, METHODS AND MACHINES FOR DRIVING SCREW ANCHORS
20200217034 · 2020-07-09 · ·

A machine for driving a pair of screw anchors at substantially the same time. An attachment supports a pair of independent drive assemblies. Each assembly consists of a rotary driver and tool driver that moves along respective driving arms to independently drive a pair of screw anchors into supporting ground at different angles. Each assembly may move with respect to the machine independently to drive anchors into the ground in overlapping time, or both may rotate at once to drive anchors into the ground sequentially.

STEEL CAP FOR AN ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION TOWER
20200199905 · 2020-06-25 ·

A steel cap for structurally connecting together a new foundation and an existing tower is disclosed. The new foundation includes at least one foundation element positioned in the ground. The existing tower includes an existing foundation and a tower structure extending from and supported by the existing foundation. The steel cap comprises (a) a first element for connecting the cap to the new foundation element or foundation elements and (b) a second element for connecting the cap to the existing tower and thereby, in use, connecting together the new foundation and the existing tower.

A method of reinforcing a structure comprising a wall built on a reinforced concrete stem wall may include removing concrete from the reinforced concrete stem wall at an exterior of the structure to expose the reinforcing material within the stem wall and create a space within the stem wall. A degraded portion of the of the reinforcing material may be removed. A hold-down may be partially disposed within the wall inserting, from below the wall, such that an upper portion of the hold-down is disposed within the wall and a lower portion of the hold-down extends into the space within the stem wall. A horizontal composite bar may be coupled to the exposed reinforcing material and to the lower portion of the hold-down. A cementitious material may be disposed in the space within the stem wall, around the lower portion of the hold-down, and around the horizontal composite bar.
