End frame for use with trench shield
An end frame includes a guide having a channel therethrough for receiving a sheet piling and a pair of hangers for hanging the end frame from a spreader of a trench shield. The end frame hangs from the spreader and bears against the adjacent ends of the sidewalls of the trench shield to provide a channel through which sheet piling can be inserted and stabilized as the sheet piling is driven into the soil adjacent to the end of the trench shield. The sheet piling and the end frame prevent unwanted cave-ins of soil into the workspace between the sidewalls of the trench shield without imparting unwanted buckling forces to the midsection of the spreader from which the end frame hangs. The hangers may be rigidly coupled to the guide or they may be coupled to the guide through chains, cables, straps or through pivoting linkages.
COVER BAND OF STEEL PIPE STRUT CONNECTOR, STEEL PIPE STRUT CONNECTOR HAVING SAME, AND STEEL PIPE STRUT ASSEMBLY
A cover band has a cover band body provided with a cover band arch portion corresponding to the outer peripheral surface of a steel pipe strut and a plurality of cover band through holes formed on the cover band body in such a manner as to correspond to a plurality of strut coupling holes. The cover band through holes have shapes of long holes extended in one direction and the extended direction of at least one of the cover band through holes is made to cross the extended direction of the other cover band through hole.

Portable cofferdam system
A portable cofferdam system for isolating a working area from water such as a culvert. The portable cofferdam system generally includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall each having an interior side, an exterior side, an upper edge, a lower edge and a rear edge. A middle wall is connected to the sidewalls opposite of the rear edges of the sidewalls forming a substantially U-shaped structure. An opening formed between the rear edges of the first sidewall and the second sidewall to allow for positioning about or near the inlet of an object or area to be kept dry such as the inlet of a culvert.

APPARATUS FOR REMOVABLE INSERTION INTO AN EXCAVATED TRENCH TO PROTECT WORKER AGAINST COLLAPSE OF TRENCH WALL
An apparatus for removable insertion into an excavated trench to protect a worker against collapse of the trench wall, which is often termed in industry as a trench shield or cage or box, comprises cross members interconnecting opposite sides of a protective peripheral wall that are in the form of rounded annuluses. Additional members are provided to interconnect adjacent pairs of annuli which are spaced one from the other in a height direction of the wall. This forms an interconnected internal frame of the apparatus which primarily provides compressive strength of the apparatus against collapsing of the trench wall instead of the protective wall so that the protective wall may be made to be lighter in terms of mass. Further, the protective peripheral wall forms a tube substantially fully enclosing a working area defined by the wall.
