Post support and post support system
09803330 · 2017-10-31 ·

A post support system is provided that is useful for construction projects where supports are placed in the ground and the supports and their placement in the ground can be inspected at any time during construction. This allows for construction to continue on the project without being held up for inspection purposes. Provided is a post support system comprising: a post support with a base; at least two walls opposing one another on one side of the base; a plate with apertures on an opposing side of the base; and at least three legs, each with a first end disposed in communication with one of the apertures of the plate; and a support mount with a lip; wherein each leg has a second end disposed in communication with the lip of the support mount.

Foundation system for bridges and other structures

A bridge system is provided that utilizes foundation structures that are formed of the combination of precast and cast-in-place concrete. A method of constructing the combination precast and cast-in-place concrete foundation structures involves receiving at a construction site a precast concrete foundation unit having elongated upright wall members that define a channel therebetween, and multiple upright supports located within the channel; placing the precast concrete foundation unit at a desired use location; delivering concrete into the channel while the precast concrete foundation unit remains at the desired use location; and allowing the concrete to cure-in-place such that the elongated upright wall members are connected to the cured-in-place concrete by reinforcement embedded within both the cured-in-place concrete and the upright wall members. The bridge units may be placed before the pouring step to embed the bottoms of the bridge units in the cast-in-place concrete.

PRE-CAST CONCRETE FOUNDATION OF MODULAR CONSTRUCTION FOR TELECOMMUNICATION OR WIND TURBINE TOWER
20170183840 · 2017-06-29 ·

A modular foundation design for supporting a wind turbine or telecommunication tower, comprised of pre-cast concrete modules offering advantages of off-site manufacture and ease of transportation, but which deign is simple to construct. A base slab is provided comprised of sub-modules/base members arranged together in juxtaposed position which together provide a horizontal surface on which pre-cast pipe members may be stacked in end-to-end position to form a pedestal. Anchor rods extend through the pipe members into screw retainers in the base members, which rods serve to not only post-tension the pipe members and secure them together, but further advantageously serve to retain the base members together thereby assisting in distributing forces and loads applied to one sub-module/base member over the entire base slab. Coupling means to further couple the base members together may be added to better retain the base members together and still further improve distribution of forces

Method for joining plastic parts and foundation mat product therefor
20170175341 · 2017-06-22 ·

An assembly method and resulting temporary foundation mat for equipment such as a crane, including the steps of driving a fastener through plastic either with a hydraulic force or pneumatic (air), mechanical, or by any other power assisted means, shown through experimentation to result in the plastic surrounding the bolt within itself, tightly giving added strength to the system. The fastener can have a head at the driven end and a threaded end at the lead end. When a threaded end exists exterior to the joined pieces of plank, the plastic around the threaded end can be power-wire brushed to expose the threads to a nut which then tightens the system. The penetration rate of the fastener into and through the plastic pieces can be increased by pre-heating the lead end of the fastener.

CONSTRUCTION BLOCK AND BUILDING ELEMENT

A plant-based construction block (2) for a building element (1), for example a wall. The plant- based construction block (2) comprises a uniform recess (3) extending between two opposite faces (5) of the plant-based construction block (2). The recess comprising first and second interlocking portions (4a, 4b) disposed on opposite sides of the recess (3) such that an interlocking portion of a further identical plant-based construction block can be received in the recess (3) and engage the first interlocking portion (4a), and such that an interlocking portion of a second further identical plant-based construction block can be received in the recess (3) and engage the second interlocking portion (4b).
