Provided are a reinforcing method and a reinforcing structure for a manhole having a neck part in a position shifted from the middle part of an upper slab which allow the buried manhole to be reinforced sufficiently against stress inflicted thereon while reducing the operation and material costs involved in the reinforcement. The manhole reinforcing method according to the invention is a method for reinforcing a manhole including a rectangular trunk part having an upper slab, a sidewall, and a lower slab and a neck part provided in a position shifted from a middle part of the upper slab of the trunk part, the method includes providing a strip-shaped reinforcing member of reinforced fiber at the upper slab and the lower slab while refraining from providing the strip-shaped reinforcing member at the sidewall, and fixing an upper part of the sidewall and the upper slab and a lower part of the sidewall and the lower slab each by a reinforcing member at the middle part of the sidewall in the longitudinal direction of the trunk part.

A manhole cover assembly comprises a base frame, the base frame comprising a base body and a base flange extending laterally outward from the base body. The assembly further comprises a top frame, the top frame comprising a top body disposed annularly about at least a portion of the base body, a top flange extending laterally outward from the top body, and a lip extending laterally inward from the top body.

A height adjustable device pit (10) is provided for use in installing water meters (12) or other equipment below ground level. The device pit (10) includes a lower housing section (14), an upper housing section (16), and a lid (18). The lower housing section (14) and the upper housing section (16) are engaged with each other by mating screw threads (20) and (22) that are centered on a vertical, longitudinal axis (24). A vertical manhole apparatus for use in a waste facility to provide access to one or more leachate collection pipe access points. The vertical manhole is stabilized using stabilizing features extending out from a vertical pipe of the vertical manhole apparatus.

An adapter frame for use when installing or renovating a basin in relation to a surface, the basin including a basin body with basin top, basin frame and basin cover. The adapter frame includes a skirt with an inward facing flange attached to an upper part of the skirt, an inner dimension of the flange being larger than a corresponding outer dimension of the basin frame and an inner dimension of at least a lower part of the skirt being larger than a corresponding outer dimension of the basin top. The adapter frame further includes a broad outward facing flange foot attached to a lower part of the skirt.

A method for constructing an assembled recyclable rectangular working well with preset detachable door openings comprises steps of: (I) designing according to functional requirements for a rectangular working well; (II) constructing by supporting piles; (III) installing prefabricated top beam; (IV) edge protection construction; (V) alternate construction of earthwork excavation, retaining slabs and internal support breast beams; (VI) installing the ladder entering the rectangular working well; (VII) rectangular working well back cover; (VIII) demolition of the detachable subsection support piles in the door part and completing the construction of the assembled recyclable rectangular working well in the preset detachable door hole; (IX) after the operation in the well is completed, during the backfilling process of the rectangular working well, gradually recovering the working well components such as the retaining slab, the internal support girder, the prefabricated crown beam and the supporting piles.

It is disclosed an adapter frame (11) for use when installing or renovating a basin in relation to a surface, the basin including a basin body (11) with basin top (2), basin frame (7) and basin cover (9). The adapter frame (11) includes a skirt (111) with an inward facing flange (112) attached to an upper part of the skirt, an inner dimension of the flange (112) being larger than a corresponding outer dimension of the basin frame (7) and an inner dimension of at least a lower part of the skirt (111) being larger than a corresponding outer dimension of the basin top (2). A pit and an extension, each having flanges extending perpendicular to an axis of the pit and extension. The pit includes holes extending outwardly in the wall of the pit, preferably these holes are located at one end of the pit. Surfaces of the flanges are configured to mate together and clips secure the flanges together to inhibit movement apart of the pit and extension along the axis. In certain embodiments, the extension includes support ribs which may be both interior and exterior and the extension narrows from its flange towards an opposite end thereof.
