A cement form can be made of foam and include a brick ledge portion that forms a brick ledge in a cement foundation. In some embodiments, the cement form includes a ground facing surface extending horizontally and configured to contact a ground surface and a cement facing surface extending vertically and configured to contact and support a volume of cement used to create the cement foundation. The cement facing surface can include two vertical surfaces offset horizontally from each other and configured to form a brick ledge in the cement foundation. The cement form can be a single unitary component having an elongated shape and a solid, continuous construction. The foam material can form at least a portion of the cement facing surface.

Apparatus to stop damage from Frozen Ground and expanding Ice

This Apparatus to stop damage from Frozen Ground and expanding Ice is to be used to protect property that could be damage from ground and water when it freezes. As ground and water freezes it expands, and when it thaws and refreezes it expands more this causes damage to property. On ground that freezes it expands with great force that can crush rock, this force will lift, crack, brake, crush, and push in walls. Likewise when water freezes it expands and causes great damage, this can be seen around lakes that people have landscaped and in the spring they have to fix it or redo it all over.

This invention is used to stop damage from frozen ground and ice by creating a brake line in the frozen ground and ice causing a week spot and redirecting the energy instead of pushing in a straight line this invention will cause the energy upward where the expanding ground or ice would pile up, and stops the expanding energy from damaging property. This invention may be made of any type of materials that would be smooth or slippery on at least one side. It may be held in place with bracing that may change to fit the different materials the main body is made of, such as what is required by the Department of Natural Resource or other state or government department.

Stationary pipeline support

The disclosure relates to a saddle support for use in above-ground pipeline construction in severe geological conditions, such as permafrost. The support provides structural stability and redistribution of a load from a pipeline to a pile foundation. The saddle support includes the spool coupled to four adjustable stands through electric insulating units. The stands can be adjusted to change a height and slope angle of the support and are fastened to a single-level pilework that supported by the pile foundation via flanges. The spool is a pipe having an external case and a heat-insulating layer. Longitudinal ribs are fastened to the spool to fasten the spool to the stands. The load-bearing structure of the spool resists axial and side movements of the pipeline and transfer the load absorbed by the spool to the pilework foundation via the electric insulating units on the adjustable stands.

Method of limiting permeability of a matrix to limit liquid and gas inflow

A method of limiting or reducing permeability of a matrix to liquid or gas flow is described. The method includes limiting inflow of water and/or gas into passages such as cavities, fissures, voids and the like, encountered in formations such as geological formations. The method includes steps of measuring one or more parameters relating to the matrix and selecting one or more components of a multi-component sealing composition with reference to the measured parameters. The selected components are introduced into the passage where it is set or coagulated to form a seal. Method is also described whereby the passage is sealed with a sealing composition comprising a grout component and a grout curing agent. A portion of the grout component is mixed with a portion of grout curing agent, the ratio of each being selected with reference to the measured parameters. The combined grout/curing agent are introduced into the passage where rate of curing or setting is controlled by modifying the ratio.
