A TEMPLATE AND A METHOD OF USING THE TEMPLATE
A template for installing piles underwater includes a template frame and pile guides having parallel pile guide centerlines and being fixed to the template frame. Each pile guide has a pile guide frame that surrounds a passageway configured for passing a pile therethrough. Each pile guide frame includes upper and lower ends. Each pile guide includes a spacer fixed to the pile guide frame and protruding into the passageway. The spacer has a pile contact surface for guiding a pile. The pile contact surface encloses an imaginary cylinder including a centerline which coincides with the pile guide centerline. In a circumferential direction about the pile guide centerline, the location of the pile contact surface shifts with respect to the corresponding pile guide frame in a direction from the lower end to the upper end thereof as seen in a direction from the template center to the pile guide centerline.
FOUNDATION FOR A WIND TURBINE
The invention relates to a foundation for a wind turbine, wherein the foundation comprises substantially prefabricated elements, preferably made of reinforced concrete, with a first, vertically extending base-like portion, on which a tower of the wind turbine can be arranged, and a second substantially horizontally extending portion as foundation body, which is in contact with the ground. The first portion is arranged above the second portion and has at least one closed, preferably sleeve-shaped, base element, which is annular or polygonal, and the second portion is formed from at least two horizontal elements, which each have at least one base portion. The at least one base element of the first portion and the base portion of the horizontal element of the second portion have substantially vertical apertures, which are mounted in line with one another and in which substantially vertical bracing elements, preferably threaded rods, are arranged. The at least one base element of the first portion and the at least two horizontal elements of the second portion are preloaded against one another by the substantially vertical preloading elements. No further fastening means, in particular horizontal fastening means, are necessary for dissipation of the loads from the wind turbine.
Offshore structure
An offshore structure having a foundation structure, wherein the foundation structure has at least a first and a second profile, the first profile is designed as a pile and the second profile is designed as a pile sleeve, the second profile encloses the first profile over a penetration length, wherein an interspace is formed between the first and the second profile, the interspace has a casting compound filling over the total penetration length, shear elements are provided on the first and/or the second profile, the shear elements extend into the interspace and effect an axial load dissipation into the casting compound filling, the shear elements are provided only over a first partial length of the penetration length, the first partial length is between 65 and 90% of the total penetration length and a second partial length is free of shear elements, wherein the second partial length forms the upper length of the penetration length in the installed position.
GROUT PLUG SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLACING PILES
A grout plug assembly for use in forming a pipe pile system defining at least one pile assembly inner surface portion comprises a resiliently deformable plug body and a substantially rigid plug cap. The resiliently deformable plug body defining a plug outer surface, a plug inner surface, a first plug end surface, a second plug end surface, where the plug inner surface defines a plug passageway. The substantially rigid plug cap defines a cap outer surface, a cap inner surface, a first cap end surface, and a second cap end surface. The second cap end surface is rigidly secured to the first plug end surface. The plug outer surface is sized and dimensioned to engage the at least one pile assembly inner surface portion of the pipe pile system during formation of the pipe pile system
Foundation system for collapsible soils
The foundation system includes a below ground rigid raft foundation to bear a load for an above ground structure, and granular cushions and piles formed below the raft foundation. The granular cushions are configured for uniform load distribution of the raft foundation and the piles are configured to bear a load of the above ground structure and the raft foundation. The foundation system further includes stone columns encapsulated with a non-woven geofabric and configured to stabilize the raft foundation. The raft foundation is disposed adjacent and above the stone columns, the granular cushions are present between neighboring stone columns, and the granular cushions are present between the stone columns and the piles. The stone columns have a cementing agent for stabilization.
Helical pile foundation system
A post foundation system is provided. The system has a shaft with a helical disk attached to one end and a post support attached to the other end. The helical disk drives the shaft into the ground as a rotational force is applied to the shaft. A fin section is rotatably coupled about the shaft between its first and second ends. The fin section can have one or more fins extending outwardly from the shaft. The fin section engages the ground to stabilize the post foundation system as the shaft of the post foundation system is driven into the ground.
FOUNDATION PIER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A foundation support system and method of installing the foundation support system. The foundation support system includes a pier system for providing support beneath a foundation, a support member, and a heave plate attachable to a bottom surface of the foundation. The method includes driving a pier system using a ram, coupling a support member to the heave plate, and engaging the support member with the pier system.

Sinking apparatus for sinking concrete shaft
A sinking apparatus for sinking a concrete shaft includes a water tank, a valve assembly, a communication pipe, and a pumping device. The water tank is disposed on an upper surrounding edge of the concrete shaft, and has a water outlet port. The valve assembly includes a valve gate which is operable to open and close the water outlet port. The pumping device is disposed to permit water inside a central hollow portion of the concrete shaft to be pumped into a water accommodation space of the water tank through the communication pipe.
BARBED MICROPILES FOR SOIL REINFORCEMENT
A barbed micropile for soil reinforcement at a target location and a method for soil reinforcement at a target location. The barbed micropile includes a conical-head pipe which comprises a hollow rod, a conical head, and a first plurality of T-shaped elements mounted around an outer surface of the hollow rod. The method may include generating a cavity at the target location, filling the cavity with grout, generating a well at the target location by inserting a barbed micropile into the ground at the target location, filling a space between the barbed micropile and the well's wall with grout, and filling an inner chamber of the hollow rod.
