Landscaping Walls, Systems and Methods
Landscaping walls, systems and methods of manufacturing and installation of such walls include in aspects a fiberglass based wall having a decorative front side and a back side having at least one conduit where the conduit receives a cable or fastener extending outward from both ends of the conduit to connect to a stake to be inserted into ground adjacent the wall. The conduit in one aspect is a PVC tube mounted vertically against the wall and in aspects is embedded within the wall. The conduit allows for self-adjustment of the cable while also providing solid anchoring of the wall to prevent movement. The wall and system is lightweight, good looking and easy to install.
EXTRUDED FIBER REINFORCED PVC GROOVED PILE
A pile is comprised of a pipe, i.e., a tube or hollow cylinder of annular cross-section, with a coextensive internal reinforcement comprised of a plurality of intersecting walls forming a plurality of vertices. Each vertex intersects the pipe. Adjacent intersections are evenly spaced around the annular cross-section. The pile is comprised of a blend of PVC and 20 to 50% (pbw) chopped strand glass fibers. A groove is cut into the pile adjacent to an end for frictional retention in a sea bed.
BLINDSIDE WATERPROOFED BUILDING FOUNDATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
A blindside waterproofed building foundation system and method of forming the same are provided. The system includes a lagging wall, a monolithic waterproof layer adjacent to the lagging wall, and a foundation layer adjacent to the monolithic waterproof layer. The system and method provide a monolithic waterproofing layer that can remain adhered to a foundation surface even if the materials used to construct the lagging wall deteriorates, decomposes, or moves over time.
Sheet pile of concrete and wall comprising a plurality of said sheet piles
A sheet pile of concrete comprising a reinforcement (1) which is produced from composite material comprising fibres and a concrete casting (2) which extends between a first lateral end (3) thereof and an opposite second lateral end (4) thereof, the reinforcement (1) being embedded in the concrete casting (2). The sheet pile further comprises a terminal element (6) which is produced from a polymer material and which comprises a connection element (7) which is embedded in the concrete casting (2) and an engagement element (8) of the sheet pile (100) which is connected to the connection element (7). The connection element (7) and the engagement element (8) extend along a longitudinal axis (X) of the sheet pile, in which the engagement element (8) has a practically C-shaped cross-section and projects from the first lateral end (3) of the concrete casting (2). The second lateral end (4) of the concrete casting (2) comprises a concrete joint (9) which extends longitudinally along the longitudinal axis (X) and which is shaped so as to be connected in an interlocking manner to the engagement element (8) of a second sheet pile.
Reinforcement unit and methods for creating a footing for supporting a structure
A reinforcement unit and methods are provided for creating footings for supporting structures, such as a fence post, using a reinforcement unit that has a tower that is generally perpendicular to a base, the tower defining a cavity for receiving a portion of the structure and an anchoring material. The reinforcement unit can include a top portion of a tower that is frangible. The base of the reinforcement unit can further include a pocket (or similar recess) substantially similar in width or diameter to the top portion of the tower such that a second identical reinforcement unit can be inverted and stacked on top of the second reinforcement unit. The methods can include placing the reinforcement unit on a layer of backfill material behind the wall face so that the unit is located adjacent the wall face and the base of the reinforcement unit extends away from the wall face, covering the base with at least one other layer of the backfill material, fracturing the top portion from the tower, such that the top portion drops into the cavity of the tower, depositing a bottom portion of the structure in the cavity of the tower, and filling the cavity of the tower with an anchoring material.
Earth retention levee system
An earth retention levee system is disclosed which is constructed from spaced apart facing parallel walls of interlocking sheet piles (1, 2) said sheet piles having outside faces (5) and inside faces (4) formed with gridspines (10) along a longitudinal extent thereof, said gridspines (10) being connected to adjacent edges of geogrids (20) which link said parallel walls and stabilise fill (21) disposed therebetween.
Utility cover
A cover for an underground enclosure may include an upper surface comprising a pattern of bosses, a first slot and a second slot disposed on the upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface. A first reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface. The first slot may extend into the first reinforcement member, and a second reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface and aligned with the first reinforcement member. The second slot may extend into the second reinforcement member. The cover may be configured to be lifted by the first slot and the second slot.
Cover for use on public roads
The invention relates to a cover for use on public roads, comprising an outer body (2) that houses at least one reinforcement (1). Preferably, said outer body (1) is made of a plastic material, e.g. injected plastic material, and said at least one reinforcement (1) is connected by means of said outer body (2) to form a single piece.
The cover according to the invention is lighter than that conventional covers, given that it is made with less metal and with lighter materials. Moreover, the cover cannot be easily recycled and hence is not at risk of theft.
