An operator input device is configured to receive a grade command. A grade control system is communicatively coupled to an operator input device and configured to receive the grade command and define a cutting plane. A controller is configured to receive a boom position signal, an attachment position signal, and the grade command. The controller is configured to maintain the cutting edge on the cutting plane in both the operating position and the dump position.

Automated backslope cutting system

An automated backslope cutting system which, based on a survey of an area, automatically adjusts a scraper blade during the cutting of a ditch backslope. The automated backslope cutting system generally includes a scraper which is automatically adjusted by a computing device to effectuate cutting of backslopes for a ditch based on a desired cut profile. The desired cut profile may be manually entered by the operator and automatically processed by the computing device. The area is surveyed with a positioning sensor to determine an optimal desired cut profile requiring a minimum number of cuts. A proximity sensor may be provided to accommodate for rotational movement of the cutting blade as the scraper performs cuts. A control software is provided for execution by the computing device to provide functionality including the automatic adjustment of hydraulic actuators controlling movement of the cutting blade as the scraper cuts the ditch and backslopes.

Engagement Control System and Method

A system for controlling an engagement operation between first and second movable machines includes a separation sensor, a relative speed sensor and a controller. The separation sensor determines a separation distance between the first and second machines. The relative speed sensor determines a relative difference in speed between the first and second machines. The controller determines the separation distance between the first and second machines, decelerates the first movable machine when the separation distance is within a deceleration zone, determines a relative difference in speed between the first and second machines, and generates an engagement speed command to operate the first movable machine at a first ground speed equal to a second ground speed of the second movable machine plus a relative engagement speed when the separation distance is within a buffer zone.

A middle part of the bucket bottom is connected by pivots with a panel having rotatable arms. The panel is rotatable around pivots and is arranged to lift and shift material on top of the panel to the rear part of the bucket, after which, the front part of the bucket bottom is empty and the bucket is fillable by pushing forward and rotatable around a horizontal shaft such that a center of gravity of the bucket transfers onto a wheelbase of the loading and transport device.

A soil spreading scraper device has a cutting blade to cut soil from the ground and a rotating impeller member for spreading the cut soil as the frame is displaced forwardly. The impeller member includes a main disc body and a plurality of impeller blades on the main disc body which are pivotal relative to the body between a working position in which the blade body extends in a direction of the impeller axis away from the main disc body and a deflected position in which the blade body extends in a circumferential direction of the disc body in a trailing relationship relative to the pivot axis of the blade body. An actuating assembly resists displacement of the blade body into the deflected position until pressure on the paddle exceeds a prescribed holding force. A spring biases the body to return to the working position.
