Controlling a crowd parameter of an industrial machine
A controller that includes a memory and an electronic processor. The electronic processor receives a first signal and a second signal. The electronic processor determines a retract torque limit based on the first signal and the second signal. The electronic processor sets a retract torque parameter of a crowd motor to the retract torque limit that has been determined. The electronic processor operates the crowd motor at or below the retract torque parameter.
Wide-format swinging ladder dredge
A wide format dredge apparatus provides a floating vessel or hull with one or more anchor lines, anchors or spuds that enable an operator to hold the hull in a selected locale. Port and starboard booms extend in generally opposite directions from the hull. An elongated ladder is pivotally attached to the hull. The ladder is configured to swing between port and starboard positions. Port and starboard swing devices are rigged to the booms. When the ladder swings to the port position, the starboard swing device is lengthened and the port swing device is shortened. When the ladder swings to the starboard position, the port swing device is lengthened and the starboard swing device is shortened. Each swing cable spans from a boom at a position spaced away from the hull to the outer end portion of the ladder. A lifting device is provided for raising and lowering the ladder. A float or tank travels along the ladder. The float or tank at least partially supports the ladder.
Dredge walking spud apparatus
A dredge and spud apparatus provides a dredge or hull or floating tank. The hull supports one or more spuds. An interface mounts each spud to the hull. The interface includes a frame attached to the hull and a carriage supported by the frame for movement between a forward position and a rear position. The hull can support one or more dredge components. The hull can be a barge. The carriage can be moved from the forward position to the rear position (or from the rear position to the forward position) in order to change position of the hull or floating tank relative to the spuds when the spuds are anchored to the water bed, sea bed, lake bed, river bed, etc. The interface includes inner and outer links, at least one link being powered to move between forward and rear positions.
Cleaning device for cleaning an underwater ground-working apparatus and method
The invention relates to a method for ground-working at a bottom of a body of water and a cleaning device for cleaning an underwater ground-working apparatus. The cleaning device has an enclosing body which extends substantially from a bottom of a body of water to above the water surface and enclosing an inner space, along which the ground-working apparatus can be moved, and a separating device, through which in the enclosing body an upper portion of the inner space can be separated off to form a cleaning area, in which the ground-working apparatus can be received and soil and contamination cleaned from it.
SLOPE WORK VEHICLE
The present invention is a slope work vehicle capable of traveling on a slope and performing work, the slope work vehicle configured by: a work vehicle main body that includes an operating seat; a traveling apparatus that is provided in the work vehicle main body and of which a control state changes depending on operations by a worker in the operating seat; a winch that is provided in the work vehicle main body; a traveling apparatus actuator that is connected to the traveling apparatus and drives the traveling apparatus; a winch actuator that is connected to the winch and drives the winch; a hydraulic pump that supplies oil to the traveling apparatus actuator and the winch actuator; a flow amount adjustment valve that is provided between the hydraulic pump and the traveling apparatus actuator; and a control means for controlling the flow amount adjustment valve, in which at least either of the control means and the flow amount adjustment valve is capable of adjusting the supply of oil so that the slope work vehicle does not fall from the slope when the slope work vehicle is positioned on the slope.
An object of the present invention is to provide a slope work vehicle that is capable of efficiently moving and working on a slope, and is highly safe.
Internal venting system for industrial machines
A mining shovel includes a boom and a transmission unit coupled to the boom. The transmission unit includes an outer housing, an internal motor housing disposed within the outer housing, and a venting system coupled to the outer housing to direct air through both the outer housing and the internal motor housing.
TRACKED VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME
A tracked vehicle comprising: a first and a second track; a generator assembly configured to generate mechanical power; a group of work devices coupled to the generator assembly; a first and a second drive wheel coupled to the first and to the second track, respectively, and to the generator assembly; a user interface configured to receive commands from an operator; and a control unit connected to the user interface to receive commands from the operator; the control unit being configured to: measure an amount of time elapsed between a command sent by the operator and a subsequent command sent by the operator; and set the tracked vehicle to a blocked state if the amount of time measured is greater than a first time interval threshold.
METHOD FOR MAKING SUSPENSION CABLE TO DESIRED LENGTH
A method for making a suspension cable to a desired length is provided. The method includes providing an initial pin hole on a tab of a socket associated with the cable. The method includes stretching the cable to a desired percentage of a rated breaking strength of the cable. The method includes measuring a length of the cable. The method includes determining a position of a final pin hole to be formed on the tab based on the measured length of the cable and a predefined tolerance. The method includes creating the final pin hole at the determined position.
FLUID CONVEYANCE SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL MACHINE
An industrial machine includes a frame supporting a boom, an elongated member movably coupled to the boom, an attachment, a conduit, and a reel supporting at least a portion of the conduit. The boom includes a first end coupled to the frame and a second end opposite the first end. The elongated member is movably coupled to the boom and includes a first end and a second end. The attachment is coupled to the second end of the elongated member. The conduit extends between the frame and the attachment. The reel is rotatably supported on a support shaft. The reel rotates about an axis of rotation to reel in and pay out the conduit as the elongated member moves relative to the boom.
Modular hoist drum for power shovel
A modular hoist drum is disclosed for use with a power shovel. The modular hoist drum may have a first outer body, a second outer body, and an anchor body that are hollow and generally cylindrical. The anchor body is connected between the first outer body and the second outer body. The anchor body may include an internal anchor configured to receive a ferrule.
