A system includes a work machine having a work implement including a bucket, and a server capable of communicating with the work machine. The work machine transmits an identification number associated with the work machine to the server. The server obtains basic data based on the identification information and used for calculating the position of teeth of the bucket. The server transmits the obtained basic data to the work machine.

Remote recessed reflector antenna and use thereof for sensing wear

A recessed antenna that includes a recessed plane formed in a conductive surface. An antenna is disposed on the recessed plane. A cavity is formed beneath the recessed plane. A circuit board is disposed in the cavity. The circuit board is electrically coupled to the antenna. A cover is disposed over the antenna, the cover protecting the antenna from abrasion.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING FORCES IN EARTH MOVING MACHINERY AND CONTROL THEREOF, AND AUTOMATIC OR SEMI-AUTOMATIC MACHINERY

System (1-3) for earth moving machinery (100), comprising: a plurality of wear elements (10-15) adapted for coupling with a blade (111) of digging implements (110) of an earth moving machine (100); one or more sensors (20) for measuring forces, each sensor of the one or more sensors (20) being arranged in one wear element of the plurality of wear elements (10-15) or between two wear elements of the plurality of wear elements (10-15); and central control means (50) for processing measurements of the one or more sensors (20) in order to calculate force withstood by the wear elements (10-15).

Retainer sleeve

A retainer sleeve for use with a lock in a ground engaging tool. The retainer sleeve can include a skirt extending part way around a retainer axis. The retainer sleeve can further include a plurality of legs joined to the skirt and formed to mate with a lock cavity of the ground engaging tool. The skirt can form an inner surface shaped to rotatably receive an outer surface of the lock.

Systems and methods for monitoring the wear of a shank attachment member of an agricultural implement

A system for monitoring wear of shank attachment members of an agricultural implement includes a shank extending between a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end configured to be pivotally coupled to a portion of the agricultural implement, a shank attachment member coupled to the distal end of the shank, a non-contact sensor positioned remote to the shank attachment member, the non-contact sensor configured to detect a parameter indicative of wear of the shank attachment member, and a controller communicatively coupled to the non-contact sensor. The controller is configured to determine a status of the wear of the shank attachment member based on sensor data received from the non-contact sensor while the shank attachment member is above ground.

Monitoring ground engaging products

Apparatus and methods for detecting a characteristic of a ground engaging product on earth working equipment are described. The apparatus is operable to: measure a temperature profile at a ground engaging product location; compare the measured temperature profile with an expected temperature profile for that ground engaging product; and indicate a characteristic of the ground engaging product based on the comparison. Thermal inserts for use with ground engaging products on earth working equipment are also described.

HEEL SHROUD HAVING STRESS CONCENTRATION REDUCTION GEOMETRY AND ENHANCED DURABILITY

A heel shroud includes a bottom leg, and a side leg extending orthogonally from the bottom leg, forming an interior corner with the bottom leg. The heel shroud defines a first lateral surface, a second lateral surface, and the bottom leg includes a curved interior surface extending from the first lateral surface to the second lateral surface at least partially forming the interior corner. The first lateral surface defines a stress reduction geometry positioned at the interior corner, or includes a wear member that is attached to the side leg, or the bottom leg.

MONITORING GROUND-ENGAGING PRODUCTS FOR EARTH WORKING EQUIPMENT

A product and system for identifying and monitoring a characteristic including the part ID, presence, condition, usage and/or performance of a ground-engaging product used on various kinds of earth working equipment.

Ground engaging tool wear and loss detection system and method

An example wear detection system receives a left image and a right image of a bucket of a work machine having at least one ground engaging tool (GET). The example system identifies a first region of interest from the left image corresponding to the GET and a second region of interest from the right image corresponding to the GET. The example system also generates a left-edge digital image corresponding to the first region of interest and a right-edge digital image corresponding to the second region of interest. Further, the example system determines a sparse stereo disparity between the left-edge digital image and the right-edge digital image, and also determines a wear level or loss for the at least one GET based on the sparse stereo disparity.
