A land preparation implement includes a rotatable drum assembly that includes a tool assembly. The tool assembly includes a tool holder and a tool. The tool includes a plurality of cleats. The tool holder includes a plurality of cleat supports. The cleats and the cleat supports cooperate to facilitate releasable coupling of the tool to the tool holder.

Cutting head having segmented cutting disc

A cutting device for engaging a rock face includes a disc body supported for rotation about an axis of rotation, and a plurality of peripheral portions removably secured to the disc body. Each of the peripheral portions including a plurality of cutting bits positioned on a peripheral edge. The peripheral edge of each peripheral portion is aligned with the peripheral edges of adjacent peripheral portions.

Wear cap for an earth working roll

A wear cap for use on an earth working roil for mining, construction and public works machines such as crushers, surface miners, milling machines and the like includes a working end and a rear mounting end. The rear mounting end including a pair of top and bottom rearwardly extending protrusions, a retainer, and a cavity having side stabilizing surfaces and a top and bottom rail or groove to support the wear cap on a holder mounted to the earth working roll.

A cutter tooth assembly includes a cutter tooth having a shank portion and a cutting portion, and a cutter tooth holder having a pocket for receiving at least a portion of the shank portion of the cutter tooth. The shank portion of the cutter tooth has a plurality of tapered surfaces formed at a first angle with respect to a vertical axis of the cutter tooth, and the pocket of the cutter tooth holder has a plurality of tapered surfaces formed at a second angle with respect to a vertical axis of the cutter tooth holder that cooperate with the plurality of tapered surfaces of the shank portion of the cutter tooth to minimize tolerances between the shank portion of the cutter tooth and the pocket of the cutter tooth holder during wear of the cutter tooth assembly.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SENSING WEAR OF REDUCING ELEMENTS OF A MATERIAL REDUCING MACHINE

The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for sensing wear in machines designed to reduce or break-down material. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for sensing wear of reducing elements used by excavation machines such as surface excavation machines. The present disclosure relates to a wear sensing system including a multi-level wear sensor protection system. The multi-level wear sensor protection system includes a first level of protection, a second level of protection, and a third level of protection.

Mineral bits and mounts

Mineral bits (10, 100) and associated mounts (30, 116, 200) for use during excavation and mining operations are disclosed. An exemplary bit (10) has a front region (12) and an opposite rear region (14) and comprises a head portion (16) and a mounting portion (18) secured to the head portion (16). The mounting portion (18) can be configured to be releasably retained by a mount (30). A rounded transition (22) disposed in the front region (12) of the bit between the head portion (16) and the mounting portion (18) provides a clearance (C) between the head portion (16) and the mount (16). Mineral bits (10, 100) disclosed can be inserted into and withdrawn from mounts (30, 116, 200) by linear and/or rotational movement.
