Container lip for excavating equipment providing improved material flow over lip
A lip to be applied to a bucket of excavating equipment for moving ground materials that includes a lip adapted to be attached to an open end of a container of the excavating equipment having a front end facing in a forward direction of the container, the lip defining a substantially horizontal bottom lip portion and side portions extending upwardly from lateral ends of the bottom lip portion, and a multiplicity of like projections extending forwardly relative to the lip from at least one of the portions of the lip.
Implement end cutting-bit
An implement end cutting-bit with a body having front, rear, top, bottom, inner side and outer side portions. The body has a cutting edge along a bottom interface between the front and bottom portions. The body has a flat front surface on the front portion extending between a top edge along a top interface between the front and top portions, an outer side edge along an outer side interface between the front and outer side portions, a ridge on the front portion, and a spearhead edge along the bottom interface between the outer side portion and the cutting edge. The body has a contoured front surface on the front portion of the body adjacent the flat front surface. The contoured front surface can be defined between an inner side edge, which is along an inner side interface between the front and inner side portions, the cutting edge, and the ridge.
Replaceable wear strips for ground engaging equipment
A wear strip assembly has a wear strip and a wear strip support for use on ground engaging equipment. The wear strip has an engagement profile and a wear surface, and the wear strip support defines a receiving profile complementary to the engagement profile of the wear strip. The engagement profile of the wear strip removably engages the receiving profile of the wear strip support, and the wear strip support has one or more openings distributed along an inner edge of the wear strip support and below the receiving profile. The one or more openings have a thickness that permits the wear strip support to be welded to the ground engaging equipment.
Rock claw for demolition hammer
A rock claw for attaching to a corner of a demolition hammer, the rock claw including a first wall having a first inner side surface, a second wall having a second inner side surface joined to the first inner side surface along a first intersection, and a third wall having a third inner side surface. The third inner side surface is joined to the first inner side surface along a second intersection and the third inner side surface is joined to the second inner side surface along a third intersection.
SECUREMENT OF A WEAR MEMBER TO AN EXCAVATION IMPLEMENT
A wear member attachment system for use with an excavation implement can include a connector that releasably secures a wear member to the excavation implement, the connector including an elongated housing and engagement members extendable and retractable relative to the housing. One engagement member can extend relative to the housing when another engagement member retracts relative to the housing, and vice versa. A method of releasably securing a wear member to an excavation implement can include rotating a engagement member of a connector from an extended position in which opposing slots in the engagement member are aligned with respective projections in the wear member, to a retracted position in which the slots are not aligned with the projections. The rotating step can include extending another engagement member of the connector as the first connector displaces from the extended position to the retracted position.
CHANGE SYSTEM FOR WEAR PARTS OF AN EXCAVATOR BUCKET OF AN EARTHMOVING MACHINE
The invention relates to a change system for wear parts of an excavator bucket of an earthmoving machine, comprising a carrier structure which can be fastened to or is formed on the excavator bucket and which has a projection and also an exchange part with a pocket-like cavity for releasably plugging the exchange part onto the projection of the carrier structure, wherein, to secure the exchange part on the carrier structure, there is provided at least one connection member which is connected to the carrier structure via a first connecting mechanism and to the exchange part via a second connecting mechanism physically separated from the first connecting mechanism, wherein at least one of the two connecting mechanisms is a releasable connection.
Bucket for underground loading machine
A bucket for an underground loading machine includes an opened bucket front and a concaved bucket back. To provide abrasive wear resistance, the bucket includes a paddle plate joined to the bucket underside of the bucket floor. The paddle plate can have a trumpet-shape tapering from flared forward edge to a plate tail disposed toward the concaved bucket back. The bucket may be configured as a wedge bottomed bucket and include a plurality of spacer wedges disposed between and spacing apart the bucket underside and the paddle plate.
Support Assembly for Ground Engaging Tools
A support assembly for ground engaging tools comprises a tool (106) operatively connected to a working edge (116) of a work implement (100); a support member (134) operatively connected to the working edge (116) separately from the tool a predetermined distance away (164) from the tool (106) along the sweep direction (S, S′); wherein the support member (134) and tool (106) are operatively associated with each other and are configured to provide a load path (128) between the tool (106) and the support member (134) along at least a portion of the sweep direction (S, S′).
Tool Adapter and Shroud Protector for a Support Assembly for Ground Engaging Tools
A kit for supplying components for a support assembly for ground engaging tools comprising a shroud protector for use with the support assembly that is configured to be attached to a work implement using a retaining mechanism, a tool adapter and a shroud insert that includes a resilient member that is configured to engage the reinforcement surface of a tool adapter, wherein the shroud insert is disposed between the work implement and the shroud protector.
Shroud Insert Assembly Using a Resilient Member
A support member for use with a support assembly for ground engaging tools comprises a structural member; and a resilient member that includes a base, and a contact surface, and wherein the structural member defines a direction of assembly and the resilient member defines a length and a width that are perpendicular to each other and to the direction of assembly, wherein the length exceeds the width and the base defines a centerline that is parallel to the length, and the contact face defines a centerline that is parallel to the length.
