A BUILDING FACILITY WATER MANAGEMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM
A building facility water management method and system for controlling at least one operational parameter associated with a volume of water used by a water control device during a device operation of the water control device in a building facility is provided. The method and system allows for obtaining a water operation value associated with a volume of water for the water control device during the device operation; determining whether the water operation value is outside of a defined threshold associated with the device operation; upon a determination that the water operation value is outside of the defined threshold, adjusting an operational parameter associated with the water control device during the device operation to enable the water control device to be effectively operated.
Valve for controlling water flow and for improving water meter health and readings
A water flow valve positioned within a waterline preferably just past a building's water meter. The valve compresses air bubbles into the water at the point where the water enters the meter, thus improving the accuracy of the meter reading. The internal passageway of the valve is non-linear and causing the water traveling therethrough to go through a plurality of turns. A blocking disk and spring are used to close off communication between a first portion of the internal passageway and a second portion of the passageway in a valve closed position. With enough water flow pressure the spring is compressed which causes the blocking disk to retract and allow water to travel through the passageway, while creating the backpressure in the waterline to collapse the air bubbles prior to the bubbles being read by the water meter. A laminar flow for the water can also be created which can reduce the wear and tear on the water meter possibly extending the useful life for the water meter.
Fluid Infrastructure Flushing Device
The present invention relates to a fluid handing device that can be attached to a water main or other fluid supply infrastructure. The device has a branched, hollow body containing a fluid passageway, that has a first end, a second end, a right arm member, a left arm member and a top member. The body also includes a male threaded nipple connected to a ball valve, and the nipple has a shutoff valve that allows a user to cut off flow from the nipple to the device. The second end of the body further has two arm members with hose adapters that allow hoses or other fluid conduits to be attached to the device, to allow water or other fluid to flow through the device and into a water main or fluid infrastructure for flushing, cleaning or treatment.
Method and apparatus for isolating a pressure-driven system from a source
An isolation device and method are provided for isolating a plumbing system of a premises from a potable water source if permissible input water pressure parameters are violated. After the plumbing system has achieved a desired input water pressure, the isolation device places the plumbing system in an isolated state and only removes the plumbing system from the isolated state if the isolation device detects a demand for water from the plumbing system and if the isolation device determines that permissible input water pressure parameters are not being violated. Once the demand no longer exists, the isolation device returns the plumbing system to the isolated state.
Systems for connecting a central module to a network and related connectors
A system for connecting a central module to a network is provided. The system includes a central module having an inlet and an outlet; a first connector configured to be received at the inlet of the central module; a second, connector configured to be received at the outlet of the central module; and at least one fastening mechanism configured to secure the first and second connectors to the central module such that a sealed connection is provided through the central module to the network.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING WATER USAGE BY CATEGORY
A system is provided for tracking, in a distributed water infrastructure, water usage by category. The system may comprise at least one processor configured to receive from at least one sensor associated with the distributed water infrastructure signals indicative of water usage in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may, based on the signals indicative of water usage, construct a plurality of profiles. The system may assign each profile to one of a plurality of water usage categories. The system may collect, from the at least one sensor, signals indicative of water usage for substantially all water delivered through the distributed water infrastructure in a time period. The system may construct a plurality of water usage profiles in the aggregate, encompassing substantially all water delivered through the distributed water infrastructure in the time period. The system may assign each constructed water usage profile to one of the plurality of water usage categories. The system may output, for display, water usage for the time period for each of the plurality of water usage categories.
PLUMBING FITTING
A plumbing fitting with a body having a flow path extending therethrough, and a receptacle disposed in the body is disclosed. The receptacle is arranged to releasably receive a mechanism is movable between a first operational position in which the flow path extends through the receptacle and the mechanism, and a second position in which the flow path bypasses the mechanism. In the second position, the mechanism can be released from the receptacle while a fluid flows through the flow path.

Method for activating a service, method for activating a fire hydrant, associated device and system
A method for activating a service associated with an object includes acquiring a position by a geolocation system of a device rigidly attached to the object; calculating an activation code from the acquired position; displaying the activation code; transmitting the activation code by an electronic mobile terminal including a wireless interface to a remote entity; receiving a response code by the electronic mobile terminal, the response code being generated by the remote entity; acquiring the response code by an input interface of the device; decoding the response code by the device; generating a command for unlocking a service associated with the object rigidly attached to said device.
Control valve
The invention relates in part to an autonomous, self-powered valve for continuous monitoring of water flow within a domestic or commercial water pipe network. The invention also relates to a network in which the valve is remotely monitored for detection of abnormalities in water use patterns.
