Dampening valve unit
A dampening valve unit, for use in a liquid distribution system is disclosed. A feeding conduit is evacuated of liquid after an associated tap unit is closed and refilled with liquid after the tap unit is opened. The dampening valve unit comprises a dampening chamber, connectable to said feeding conduit, and a liquid stop valve unit, connectable at an inlet end thereof, to said associated feeding conduit and which has an outlet end being connectable to said associated liquid tap unit. Said dampening chamber is adapted to collect gas and is connectable to said associated feeding conduit via a passage. The passage is directly connected, without any restrictions therebetween, also to a liquid stop valve at said inlet end. The passage is always open at the dampening chamber for fluid connection between the passage and the dampening chamber.
Drinking water supply system with volume or pressure control function, method for controlling same, and computer program
A drinking water supply system with a drinking water line system includes multiple drinking water removal points connected to the drinking water line system, at least one sensor, which is designed to determine measurement values, and a central controller, which is designed to receive and evaluate the measurement values determined by the at least one sensor. The central controller is designed to control the control elements depending on the received measurement values. The drinking water line system has a drinking water line section for supplying drinking water to multiple drinking water removal points. A volumetric flow rate sensor is provided in order to measure the volumetric flow rate of the water in the drinking water line section and/or a pressure sensor is provided in order to measure the water pressure in the drinking water line section. The controller is designed to carry out a measure.
Water management, metering, leak detection, water analytics and remote shutoff system
A water management system effective for managing and metering water usage and detecting and reducing water leaks is described herein. The water management system can detect a leak when a volume of water flow or change in water pressure detected by a water meter of the system is uncharacteristic for a given day and time of day at the node. Upon detecting the leak, the system alerts the user, and in some situations, remotely shuts off a water supply to preemptively address a water leakage issue.

The invention relates to an item of work furniture for sanitary applications, kitchens, or the like, for the defined arrangement of at least the following modules on a main body: a water supply module, at least one fitting module having a fitting that is connectable to the water supply module and/or to at least one water treatment module, and at least one drain module having a drain point for the at least one fitting of the fitting module and having a drain fitting, and at least the water treatment module is arranged interchangeably in the item of work furniture.
Water meter system and method
A water meter system and method may provide inline flow monitoring and leak detection that may track real-time water usage. The water meter system and method may utilize one or more dual pressure sensors and/or ultrasonic sensors to detect leaks quickly and automatically turn off a valve. A spool may be utilized that may provide the dual pressure sensors on opposite sides of a ball valve to separate upstream and downstream pressure zones when the valve is closed.
Flood mitigation and pipe freeze prevention systems for use in a structure
A system for controlling water delivery in to and out from a structure. Sensors in the structure determine a water leak from a water delivery system within the structure or an ambient temperature. A transmitter associated with each sensor transmits a signal to a controller, the signal indicating a water leak from the water delivery system or a temperature. Valves within the structure control the flow of water in to the structure, out from the structure, and within the structure. The controller receives the sensor signals and responsive thereto opens or closes one or more valves to stop water delivery into the structure, to drain water out from the structure, or to control water delivery within the structure. A source of pressurized gas activated by the controller applies pressure to water within the water delivery system and thereby assists with draining water from the structure.
Vibration sensor for fluid leak detection
Some embodiments relate to a vibration sensor. The vibration sensor comprises: a sensor base to couple to a vibration source; a piezoelectric transducer coupled on a first side of the transducer to the sensor base; at least one conductor coupled to the piezoelectric transducer; and a seismic weight positioned on a second side of the piezoelectric transducer; wherein the sensor base, the piezoelectric transducer and the seismic weight are aligned along an axis and arranged so that relative movement between the sensor base and the seismic weight arising from the vibration source causes a current to be generated in the piezoelectric transducer and an output signal corresponding to the generated current is detectable on the at least one conductor.
Hot water unit fluid supply control systems and methods
A hot water unit fluid supply control system comprises a switching device coupled to a hot water unit, a rainwater tank and a potable water source. The switching device is configured to selectively switch between a first state, which allows fluid communication between the hot water unit and the rainwater tank, and a second state, which allows fluid communication between the hot water unit and the potable water source. The hot water unit fluid supply control system comprises a control unit configured to: receive fluid characteristic information associated with fluid in the hot water unit from one or more sensors; activate or deactivate a pump of the rainwater tank based on a comparison of a fluid characteristic parameter of the fluid characteristic information with requirements of the hot water unit to thereby cause the switching device to assume the first or second state.
FAUCET
A faucet includes a faucet spout, a communication valve, a first valve cartridge, a second valve cartridge, a solenoid valve, and an induction control circuit. A first input end, a second input end and a third input end of the communication valve are connected to the first valve cartridge, the second valve cartridge and the solenoid valve, respectively. An output end of the communication valve is connected to the faucet spout. The communication valve is provided with a water flow sensor electrically connected to the induction control circuit. The faucet provides a manual mode and an induction mode to control the flow of water and is convenient to use and can prolong its service life.
Water Meter and Systems
Some embodiments relate to a vibration sensor. The vibration sensor comprises: a sensor base to couple to a vibration source; a piezoelectric transducer coupled on a first side of the transducer to the sensor base; at least one conductor coupled to the piezoelectric transducer; and a seismic weight positioned on a second side of the piezoelectric transducer; wherein the sensor base, the piezoelectric transducer and the seismic weight are aligned along an axis and arranged so that relative movement between the sensor base and the seismic weight arising from the vibration source causes a current to be generated in the piezoelectric transducer and an output signal corresponding to the generated current is detectable on the at least one conductor.
