An apparatus and method for maintaining integrity of a dry pipe sprinkler system. The apparatus includes an auxiliary drain, the auxiliary drain including an input pipe, a condensate collection area, and a drain pipe; an insulated housing with a door configured to provide a heat controlled environment for the auxiliary drain, and wherein the auxiliary drain is at least partially located within the housing, and the condensation collection area is located within the housing; a heater configured to heat the housing; and an auxiliary drain alarm configured to provide a warning when the auxiliary drain retains a predetermined amount of condensate.

Drainage system

There is described a drainage system comprising: an inlet pipe; and an energy dissipater comprising a dissipation chamber. The dissipation chamber has a dissipater inlet fluidically connected to the inlet pipe and a dissipater outlet arranged to discharge fluid from the dissipation chamber. The dissipater inlet extends between a first end and a second end. A wall of the inlet pipe extends tangentially from the dissipation chamber so as to define the first end and such that, in use, fluid is discharged into the dissipation chamber in a tangential direction, thereby inducing a circulating flow within the dissipation chamber about an axis of the dissipation chamber. The width of the dissipater inlet in a direction parallel to the axis decreases from the first end to the second end.

Cistern, in Particular In-Wall Cistern, for a Toilet or Urinal, and Drinking Water Pipe System Having a Cistern

The invention relates to a cistern, in particular an in-wall cistern, for a toilet or urinal, with a drain valve which has a closure body which can be lifted from a closed position into a flushing position. The closure body is designed as an overflow pipe and has a seal which rests tightly on a valve seat in the closed position, with at least one water intake line, with a valve assembly for letting in drinking water present in the water intake line, with a water discharge line for discharging the drinking water let in by the valve assembly, and with a controller which generates a control signal for actuating the valve assembly as a function of a sensor signal and/or when a predefined time interval has been exceeded since the last withdrawal of drinking water from a cold water or hot water line connected to the water intake line. The valve assembly lets in water from the water intake line as a function of the control signal. According to the invention, the water discharge line is designed in such manner that it discharges the drinking water let in by the valve assembly directly into the overflow pipe. The cistern according to the invention makes it easier to maintain the drinking water hygienic, offers the possibility of carrying out required hygienic flushes with relatively low water consumption and enables a hygienic flushing independent of the flushing water level.

Flushing device

The present invention relates to a flushing device that can be connected to a potable water system for flushing at least one water line (4), the flushing device comprising a flushing valve (8), a control line (24) that is connected to the flushing valve (8) in a controlling manner and a control device (22) that controls a position of the flushing valve (8) via the control line (24) in a time-dependent manner and/or in a manner depending on a water temperature and/or in a manner depending on a water consumption. In order to comply with the hygiene requirements for a potable water system and to enable efficient flushing, the flushing device according to the present invention is adapted to control the flushing process in a manner depending on the water pressure.

A plumbing distribution and control panel system is provided. The plumbing distribution and control panel system has a main control panel unit having an interior. A portion of each of a plurality of pipes of a residence or commercial building may pass through the control panel to various zones of the building such as, for example, a water heater or tankless heater, a kitchen, a bathroom, a utility room, a laundry room, a basement, an exterior unit, or a mechanical room of a commercial building. The main control panel may allow a user to control the flow of water through the pipes in those zones. The main control panel allows for the easy cut-off of flowing water which may prevent damage to the residence or commercial building. A wireless system may also allow a user to wirelessly control the flow of water through the pipes.
