WATER STORAGE SYSTEMS
20190249400 · 2019-08-15 ·

Water storage systems are provided to facilitate storing water for use when a primary source of water becomes unavailable. These water storage systems can be configured to connect into a home's or a building's plumbing to enable the water tanks of the system to be easily filled and regenerated. The water storage systems may include a support system to maximize space utilization and to possibly provide seismic protection.

WATER SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM ON-BOARD AN AIRCRAFT AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH SYSTEM

A method for operating an on-board water supply and distribution system of an aircraft includes a central water tank, central pump, consumer assemblies each including a supply device to supply water, and a high-pressure conduit system. The high-pressure conduit system connects the downstream side and consumer assemblies and is configured where the central pump can deliver water from the downstream side to the consumer assemblies. The method includes operating the central pump where water in the high-pressure conduit system is pressurized to a predetermined first pressure, operating the consumer assemblies where in each of the consumer assemblies the connection between the buffer tank of the consumer assembly and the high-pressure conduit system is in a closed position, monitoring pressure for a predetermined first period of time, and providing a first failure signal when pressure drops below a predetermined second pressure within the first period of time.

EXPANSION TANK WITH IMPROVED SINGLE DIAPHRAGM

An improved expansion tank is provided for at least temporarily storing a pumped liquid under pressure, the expansion tank comprising a thin walled outer shell formed of two substantially hemispherical domes joined together, either directly or at the two ends of a central, substantially cylindrical section, and a flexible diaphragm located internally of the tank and secured to the inner surface of the shell of the tank to divide the internal volume of the tank into a fluid-tight section holding a gas under pressure and a fluid-tight section for holding an aqueous liquid under pressure. The improvement comprising diaphragm coupling ring formed as a discrete part of the diaphragm tank that can be fabricated independent of the domes and any cylinder. The diaphragm coupling ring provides a robust, leak-proof seal with the diaphragm, so that it can be connected onto an inner surface of an expansion tank in a separate, secondary operation.

A water supply system for delivering water from a water inlet manifold to a water outlet manifold, comprises a first water inlet pipe, an air pressure water tank and a first water pump; the first water inlet pipe is connected to the water inlet manifold; the air pressure water tank is connected between the first water inlet pipe and a water suction pipe of the first water pump; a water outlet pipe of the first water pump is connected to the water outlet manifold; the air pressure water tank is provided with a preset first water level; and the quantity of gas compressed in the air pressure water tank allows a pressure inside the air pressure water tank to be an atmospheric pressure when water in the air pressure water tank is in the first water level.

WATER TANK WITH ANTIMICROBIAL INTERNAL LINER

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a tank assembly that provides antimicrobial protection to inhibit microbial growth in the interior of the tank body. The tank assembly can comprise a body with a side wall and one or more end walls. An antimicrobial liner can be disposed in the interior of the tank body to cover interior surfaces of the side wall and end wall(s). The antimicrobial liner can comprise an effective amount of an antimicrobial agent to inhibit growth of microbes in the interior of the tank body. In this way, the operation life of the tank assembly may be improved, and problems associated with biofilm fouling may be mitigated.
