The piston is slidably coupled to the valve body and fluidly separates the chamber from the reservoir. The chamber includes a compressible gas. The piston is configured to slidably translate within the valve body to compress the compressible gas in response to a water pressure fluctuation in the shower waterway.

The floor defines a floor height between the upper surface and the lower surface, and the floor defines a through aperture. At least three walls have a lower end connected to the floor and an upper end extend away from the floor, a ceiling is connected to the upper end of the walls, and a drain body is positioned in the floor aperture. The drain body has an upper surface and a lower surface and defines a drain body height between the upper and lower surfaces. The drain body height is less than the floor height, such that the drain body does not extend above the upper surface of the floor or below the lower surface of the flow while the drain body is positioned in the aperture in the floor.

A plumbing trap assembly for integrating a plumbing trap into a variety of plumbing geometries includes a plumbing trap that has an inlet and an outlet for plumbing into an existing sewer system of a building. The plumbing trap is curved between the inlet and the outlet to trap water for inhibiting back flow of sewer gasses through the plumbing trap. The plumbing trap has a plurality of threaded sections thereon. The threaded sections are spaced apart from other thereby facilitating the plumbing trap to be cut between a selected pair of the threaded sections. In this way the plumbing trap has an adjustable length to facilitate the plumbing trap to be integrated into a variety of plumbing geometries.
