Cistern
This invention relates to a cistem (1010): More specifically, the invention relates primarily to concealed cisterns for toilets having integrated, and preferably adjustable, dual-flushing and odour extraction capability. The cistem (1010) includes a primary chamber (1020) for storing a volume of liquid, a liquid inlet (1026) for the primary chamber (1020) of the cistem (1010) with liquid, an air outlet (1028) for exhausting air from the primary chamber (1020) of the cistem (1010) operatively during filling; and a liquid outlet (30) through which liquid operatively stowed in the primary chamber (1020) of the cistem is dischargeable. The cistem (1010) further includes a fill valve for controlling liquid supply into the primary chamber from the liquid inlet (1026) and a flush valve (60) for controlling flow through the liquid outlet (30). The flush valve (60) comprises of a flush valve seat and a flush plug (1064) being moveable relative to the flush valve seat between an open position, wherein the flush plug (1064) is displaced from the flush valve seat thereby to open the liquid outlet (30) and enable the liquid in the primary chamber (1020) to discharge there through during flushing, and a closed position, wherein the flush plug (1064) is seated on the flush valve seat thereby to close the liquid outlet (30) and prevent the passage of liquid there through. The cistern (1010) also includes at least one actuator (1070) for actuating displacement of the flush plug (1064) from the closed position to the open position, and a controller (1123) for controlling one or more of a group of flushing conditions including: (i) flush type, wherein the cistem (1010) is adjustable between a single flush, dual-flush, on-demand flush or a combination of such flush type conditions; and (ii) flush time, wherein the time of the displacement of the flush plug (1064) by the actuator (1070) for each flush type condition is adjustable.
Drain valve for a sanitary cistern
The invention relates to a drain valve (1) for a sanitary cistern, in particular a concealed cistern, having a valve housing (2) with a drain opening (4), the drain opening (4) being delimited by a valve seat (6), and a valve body (7), which rests in a sealing manner on the valve seat (6) in the closed state of the drain valve, the valve housing (2) having a housing chamber (11), arranged upstream of the valve seat (6) in the direction of flow, for receiving water. To allow the drain valve to be arranged outside the cistern and to enable access to the drain valve for maintenance as well as removal via an inspection opening that can be covered by a toilet bowl or urinal bowl, the invention suggests that the valve body (7) is provided with an auxiliary chamber (12) for receiving water, the receiving volume of which is smaller for water in the open state of the drain valve (1) than in the closed state of the drain valve (1), the auxiliary chamber (12) being delimited by a flexible and/or movable wall section, and wherein the auxiliary chamber (12) is associated with an auxiliary drain valve (16) which in a first position permits an inflow of water into the auxiliary chamber (12) and in a second position permits an outflow of water out of the auxiliary chamber (12).

Dual flush flapper valve apparatus
A dual flush flapper valve apparatus for converting a standard toilet to a dual flush system includes a valve body having a lower rim and an upper rim. The lower rim is configured to selectively engage a tank valve of a toilet. A valve top is coupled to the valve body and is selectively engageable with the upper rim to seal and alternatively unseal a top aperture. A first chain and a second chain are configured to attach to a trip lever of the toilet to move the valve top between a closed position. The first chain and the second chain are arranged such that a partial depression of a handle of the toilet lifts the trip lever to move the valve top to the open position and a full depression of the handle lifts the trip lever further to move the valve body to the lifted position.

Drain fitting for a toilet cistern
A drain fitting for a toilet cistern including a drain valve, which is constructed from a discharge nozzle mounted on the cistern and a lift-adjustable overflow tube, which closes a flow passage through the discharge nozzle in its closed position, and having a pneumatic actuator, with the aid of which, upon the application of pressure, the overflow tube is adjustable into its open position, in which a quantity of flush water is able to flow out of the discharge nozzle of the toilet cistern. An underpressure may be applied to the pneumatic actuator to lift-adjust the overflow tube into its open position. The drain fitting includes an, in particular water-conducting, underpressure unit, which is connected to the pneumatic actuator and generates an underpressure acting upon the pneumatic actuator upon activation by the user.
Touchless flushing systems and methods
A touchless actuation system for a toilet includes a touchless sensor, a motor assembly, and a processing circuit. The touchless sensor is located within a closed reservoir of the toilet. The processing circuit is configured to receive a signal from the touchless sensor and to detect an object within a detection region based on the signal. The detection region is external to the closed reservoir. The processing circuit is configured to facilitate flushing of the toilet through interaction with the motor assembly when the object is detected.
