DOTMP KIT FORMULATIONS FOR RADIOISOTOPES
This invention relates to a Kit formulation to prepare a radioactive, bone-seeking, pharmaceutical drug that has high radiochemical purity (RCP) in a fast, facile and reproducible process. The Kit has at least two vials and a two part buffer system with instructions on how to make the drug formulation in a radiopharmacy. The drug formulations of this invention can be conveniently and reproducibly prepared with better delivery of the drug to mammals, better radiochemical purity of the formulation for use in treating a mammal having bone pain, one or more calcific tumors or needing bone marrow suppression.
Implantable nanochannel delivery devices
An implantable device comprising a nanochanneled membrane is described. The device uses nanofluidics to control the delivery of diagnostic and/or therapeutic agents intratumorally. The devices can be used for chemotherapy, radiosensitization, immunomodulation, and imaging contrast.
Alpha-emitter sources
A radiotherapy source for treating a tumor, which includes a flexible core impermeable to radon and a polymer coating on the flexible core. The polymer coating is impermeable to radium, and allows diffusion of radon therethrough. The radiotherapy source also includes alpha-emitting radium radionuclides in the polymer coating or between the flexible core and the polymer coating.
Radioluminescent Phototherapy Eye Device
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a phototherapy eye device. In an example, the phototherapy eye device includes a number of radioluminescent light sources and an anchor. Each radioluminescent light source includes an interior chamber coated with phosphor material, such as zinc sulfide, and containing a radioisotope material, such as gaseous tritium. The volume, shape, phosphor material, and radioisotope material are selected for emission of light at a particular wavelength and delivering a particular irradiance on the retina (when implanted in an eyeball). The wavelength is in the range of 400 to 600 nm and the irradiance is substantially 10.sup.9 to 10.sup.11 photons per second per cm.sup.2.
Therapeutic Use of Mitochondria and Combined Mitochondrial Agent
The disclosure relates to compositions comprising isolated mitochondria or combined mitochondrial agents, and methods of treating disorders using such compositions.
FLEXIBLE AND/OR ELASTIC BRACHYTHERAPY SEED OR STRAND
A flexible or elastic brachytherapy strand that includes an imaging marker and/or a therapeutic, diagnostic or prophylactic agent such as a drug in a biocompatible carrier that can be delivered to a subject upon implantation into the subject through the bore of a brachytherapy implantation needle has been developed. Strands can be formed as chains or continuous arrays of seeds up to 50 centimeters or more, with or without spacer material, flaccid, rigid, or flexible.
RADIOACTIVE MEDICAL DEVICE
This disclosure provides design, material, manufacturing method, and use alternatives for medical devices. An example medical device comprises a radioactive element positionable within a body lumen, the body lumen having an inner surface. The medical device also includes a frame attached to the radioactive element. The frame is also configured to position the radioactive element radially inward and away from the inner surface of the body lumen.
Therapeutic use of mitochondria and combined mitochondrial agents
The disclosure relates to compositions comprising isolated mitochondria or combined mitochondrial agents, and methods of treating disorders using such compositions.
Polymer coatings for brachytherapy devices
An apparatus includes a support, including an outer surface and configured for insertion into a body of a subject. The apparatus further includes multiple atoms of a radionuclide, which radioactively decays to produce a daughter radionuclide, coupled to the outer surface, and a layer of a polymer, which covers the atoms so as to protect the atoms from being washed away, yet allows diffusion of the daughter radionuclide through the layer. Other embodiments are also described.
RADIOACTIVE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THEIR THERAPEUTIC USE
This invention concerns a pharmaceutically-acceptable composition of radioactive metals, which are used for treating various diseases in animals or humans, such as cancer and arthritis.
