09605420 · 2017-03-28 ·

A universal, attachable urinal. Urine is discharged into receptacle (2) that funnels to a waste-tube (11) that runs through a hollow arm (3) to a pre-existing waste receiver. The arm (3), mounted by the receptacle (2), pivots on a stationary leg (4) between an operational and a nonoperational position. The leg (4) is secured next to the toilet by foot (6a) and/or support arm (7), using the closet bolt (8), toilet seat bolt (9), or other nearby secured object. A water line runs from the toilet's water source to the receptacle (2) for rinsing it and the conjoined waste-tube (11). Embodiments vary between the waste-tube (11) leading to the toilet bowl (12) or sewer-line (39), the manual or semi-automatic upright return of the arm (3), methods for securing the leg (4), and methods for controlling water dispersion to and in the receptacle (2) for rinsing.

The present invention introduces a toilet-urinal combination design, in rim and rimless options, encompassing a bowl structure with a semi-circular cup-shaped extension. A water flush design has been shown to clean the bowl extension for both the rim and rimless options. The invention is suitable for manufacture in stainless steel or ceramic materials such as porcelain and vitreous china. The design allows users who urinate standing up to stand closer to the bowl with legs on either side of the protruding cup-shaped extension, reducing the risk of unintentional spills and providing enhanced user comfort during urination. Importantly, the incorporation of this semi-circular cup-shaped extension ensures that genital contact with the bowl is minimized during seated urination and urinating while defecating, adding an extra user comfort and hygiene. The urinal extension design also allows the user better access to self-care when seated.

The combination toilet urinal with overspray and splash containment features a combination toilet and urinal fixture. While avoiding the cost and space requirements of an individual toilet and a separate urinal, the device also anticipates splashing and misdirection, or overspray, associated with the use of a toilet in a standing position. The result is a compact unit that acts both as a toilet and urinal, while maintaining cleanliness of the toilet for users who need to sit. To combine the two devices, a urinal basin is incorporated into the toilet tank space. The urinal basin is ideally incorporated into the front of the toilet tank, allowing access to the urinal from the toilet-seat side of the tank. Restated, the urinal basin is accessible from the frontthe same direction a user would commonly stand to urinate into the toilet or urinal.
