The upper surface part includes a cut-out part formed such as to be recessed downward from the other part of the upper surface part. The functional component is disposed on the cut-out part such as to be partially positioned downward with respect to an upper surface of the rim part, and such as to be partially stuck out into the toilet bowl part from upon the cut-out part, and, on a bottom surface of the stuck-out part, the functional component is provided with a conduit forming surface serving as an upper surface of the rim conduit.

A flush toilet capable of correcting a defecation posture, in which a seat disposed on a toilet main body for a user to sit is inclined on the top thereof such that the front where the user's thighs are placed is higher than the rear where the user's hips are placed. A combined toilet device comprises a platform for supporting a user in a squatting defecation position. The platform is mountable over a toilet bowl wherein the opening in the platform is aligned with the opening in the toilet bowl. The device includes a urinal pan to prevent dispersion of the urine. The frame of the urinal pan is formed by a pipe arc having long and short parts which are continued one into other and are in different planes with 90 grade between them. The urinal pan walls are comprised of flexible material framed with the pipe arc. Pipe arc serves for converting of the urinal pan into functional or nonfunctional position. The urinal pan is covered in a nonfunctional position by a cover which is formed from two leafs attached pivotally to the platform at either side of the pan. In a functional position the leafs of the cover fix the urinal pan at any desirable point.

A combined toilet device comprises a platform for supporting a user in a squatting defecation position. A toilet assembly that includes a shroud portion, a main body portion extending generally forwardly from the shroud portion, and first and second intermediate protrusions extending generally forwardly from the bowl portion. The main body portion includes a bowl portion that includes a bottom and a top. The top includes an upper surface that defines a seat adjacent surface. The first and second intermediate protrusions are located vertically between the top and the bottom of the bowl portion and are configured such that a user can position their feet thereon.

A passenger lavatory unit has an enclosing structure enclosing a lavatory space, and a toilet assembly inside the lavatory space. The toilet assembly has a toilet bowl and a shroud to support the user during use. The toilet assembly serves as a hybrid toilet to be used as a sitting toilet or as a squatting toilet. The shroud includes an upper edge surrounding an upper opening of the toilet bowl. To accommodate a user sitting position, the upper edge is provided as a toilet seat, and a feet-placing area is provided on a floor segment in front of the toilet assembly. The shroud has two lateral tread portions, one on either side of the toilet bowl. To accommodate a user squatting position, the tread portions are provided as elevated rest-platforms arranged on an intermediate level provided above a floor level and below a toilet seat level.

Disclosed is a toilet module having a toilet bowl and which also has a toilet bowl support mechanism. The toilet bowel support mechanism allows the toilet bowl to be moved to a position in which the person using the toilet to adopt more of a squatting posture when cleansing their bowels. The toilet bowl support mechanism can move the toilet bowl to and between a first position and a second position, the first position is characterised in that the front end of the toilet bowl is lower than the aft end of the toilet bowl, and the second position is characterised in that the front end of the toilet bowl is above the aft end of the toilet bowl. The first position makes it easier for folk with limited mobility to sit on the toilet, and the second position allows the seated person to adopt a squatting posture.
