Toilets and accessories associated with toilets are provided. According to various implementations, an exemplary toilet includes a base configured to be fastened to a floor and a pair of bracket panels, which are connected to the base and extend upward from the floor in a vertical direction. The exemplary toilet also includes a tank housing confined between the pair of bracket panels. The tank housing has an adjustable height above the base such that the tank housing can move in the vertical direction between a raised position and a lowered position. The exemplary toilet also includes a bowl attached to the tank housing, wherein the bowl is configured to support the weight of a user.

A height adjustable toilet assembly for a person with a disability includes a commode that comprises a bowl. A plate is coupled to a bottom of the bowl. A base is coupled to a floor of a structure. A pump is coupled to the base. A hydraulic cylinder is coupled to and extend perpendicularly between the base and the plate. The hydraulic cylinder is operationally coupled to the pump. The pump is positioned to actuate the hydraulic cylinder to selectively extend the commode from the base. A bellows is coupled to and extend between a perimeter of the base and a circumference of the bottom of the bowl. The bellows is positioned to extend as the commode is extended from the base.

A height adjustable toilet assembly for a person with a disability includes a commode that comprises a bowl. A plate is coupled to a bottom of the bowl. A base is coupled to a floor of a structure. A pump is coupled to the base. A hydraulic cylinder is coupled to and extend perpendicularly between the base and the plate. The hydraulic cylinder is operationally coupled to the pump. The pump is positioned to actuate the hydraulic cylinder to selectively extend the commode from the base. A bellows is coupled to and extend between a perimeter of the base and a circumference of the bottom of the bowl. The bellows is positioned to extend as the commode is extended from the base.

A waste system of a height adjustable toilet comprising a fixed frame with a vertically mounted sliding plate thereon, wherein the waste system comprises a piping system with a series connected upper pipe, an upper elbow, a connecting pipe, a lower elbow, and a lower pipe, wherein the upper sleeve is fixed to the sliding plate and the lower sleeve is attached to the fixed frame, the upper elbow on the upper sleeve and the lower elbow on the lower sleeve being seated freely pivotable about their axial axes and the connecting pipe being made of elastically flexible material.

A method of operating a toilet includes detecting movement, using an imaging device comprising a sensor, of eyes of a person, wherein the imaging device is attached to or associate with the toilet. Using a computer processor analyzing imaging received from the imaging device, one or more directions that the person's eyes are pointing towards is determined. The directions are compared with prestored commands and a first prestored command is executed in response to the one or more directions matching the first prestored command.

A fastening system for the fastening of a sanitary article comprising a carrier element, at least one upper stop portion which lies on the carrier element and which strikes against an upper stop of the sanitary article, at least one lower stop portion which lies on the carrier element and which strikes against a lower stop of the sanitary article, and at least one clamping element. At least one of the stop portions is mounted on the carrier element so as to be displaceable with respect to the carrier element, and is connected to the at least one clamping element in such a way that, as a result of actuation of the clamping element, the stop portion can be displaced in a direction of actuation such that the two stop portions can be braced between the two stops of the sanitary article.

A platform for supporting a toilet bowl, and more preferably a height adjustable platform for supporting a toilet bowl is disclosed. The platform comprises principally of a planar base member for engaging a ground surface, a planar top member for attachment to a toilet bowl, and a plurality of support members extending between the base member and the top member, the support member being configured to support the top member at a distance from the base member and adapted to facilitate adjustment of the distance between the base member and the top member.

Height-adjustable toilet having a fixed frame with a vertically mounted sliding frame and a toilet bowl, wherein the sliding frame couples to the fixed frame by a vertical linear drive member and has a face plate where an intermediate member is mounted. A flat cover is fixed to the fixed frame, with a window formed from below which is not closed, having a width corresponding to a width of the intermediate member and the inner edges of which extend towards the intermediate member over the peripheral edges of the face plate of the sliding frame, in front of which the flat cover is projected, the toilet bowl being seated on the intermediate member. A pedestal toilet system that allows individuals to adjust the position, height or orientation of a toilet in accordance to their comfort levels and health related needs. Conventional toilet systems do not have retractable footrests or pedestals incorporated into the toilet as one unit. This adjusting pedestal height allows the user to use the restroom in an ideal manner.
