Concrete galley water detention and release systems
10900214 · 2021-01-26 · ·

An underground water detention and release chamber including two concrete galleys and a plastic or concrete cap. Each galley has a substantially horizontally disposed top deck and two substantially vertically disposed side walls. The top deck and side walls connecting at respective ends to form first and second side edges. The two galleys positioned parallel to and a distance apart each other such that adjacent side walls of the galleys define a longitudinal channel between the galleys. The cap spanning the longitudinal channel and includes an arch-shaped body having two side base portions. Each side base portion has a horizontal strut and a vertical strut extending away from the body such that each base conforms to a side edge of a respective galley to position the cap on the galleys. The cap has a plurality of reinforcing members.

Supporting outriggers

Embodiments may be directed to processes, devices, systems, and manufactures involving water leaching systems. Embodiments may comprise one or more receiving chambers and a plurality of outriggers connected to one or more receiving chambers in such a way as to provide support against external loads acting on the one or more receiving chambers. The outriggers may be directly coupled with chambers and may be spaced apart from chambers as well. The outriggers may also be integrated with the chambers and may be added to or detachable from the chambers. The outriggers along with the chambers may each provide for leaching of wastewater or other water from them along one or more of their sides.

SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR MAINTENANCE OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Stormwater management systems, methods, and apparatuses for containing and filtering runoff may be provided. In one implementation, a stormwater management system may include a stormwater chamber configured for placement underground; a flared end ramp at the inlet of the stormwater chamber that is configured to receive runoff containing sediment and to distribute the sediment across a width of the stormwater chamber; and a filtration fabric situated beneath the stormwater chamber, the filtration fabric being configured to capture sediment from the runoff in the stormwater chamber while the runoff flows out of the stormwater chamber.

Stormwater management systems, methods, and apparatuses for containing and filtering runoff may be provided. In one implementation, a flared end ramp for managing flow of material into a stormwater chamber may be provided. The flared end ramp may include an inlet end configured for connection with a pipe, a side wall of the flared end ramp having a rounded profile at the inlet end; an outlet end configured for placement within the stormwater chamber; and an inclined surface extending between the inlet end and the outlet end of the flared end ramp and configured to deliver material from the pipe into the stormwater chamber. The outlet end of the flared end ramp may have a larger width than the inlet end of the flared end ramp such that the inclined surface is angled laterally outward from the inlet end toward the outlet end.

Modular tessellation assembly for storage of water underground

Individual hexagonal shaped modules used in an assembly for underground storage of storm water and other fluid storage needs. Modules are assembled into a resultant honeycomb shape for maximized structural strength and material use efficiency. Adjacent modules are in direct fluid communications with one another via openings or windows in module side walls. Assemblies include various top and side pieces along with access ports for entry into said assembly.

An embodiment of apparatus useful for chamber-type stormwater management systems includes an inclined surface comprising a first end and a second end. The ramp is configured to connect to a chamber end cap having a stub pipe centrally disposed therethrough. The ramp is connected to the stub pipe at the second end of the ramp, a ramp surface inclined to form a slope rising from the first end to the second end.

Total suspended solids reduction system

A modular system for reducing the total suspended solids of waste, including scum, sludge and water layers, includes a plurality of chambers each being connected in succession by a corresponding one of a plurality of flow pipe segments including an inlet segment, an outlet segment and at least one middle segment, wherein the waste enters the septic tank via the inlet segment and is transferred between each of the plurality of chambers via the at least one middle segment; a corrugated flow pipe in fluid flow communication with the outlet segment; and the corrugated flow pipe being sized and configured for use as a settling zone for removal of a portion of the total suspended solids and wherein an amount of water from the water layer within the chamber adjacent the outlet segment enters the corrugated flow pipe and passes through the outlet segment.

MODULE AND ASSEMBLY FOR UNDERGROUND MANAGEMENT OF FLUIDS FOR SHALLOW-DEPTH APPLICATIONS

A modular assembly is provided for managing the flow of fluid beneath a ground surface. The assembly can feature a plurality of modules, each having a deck portion and opposing sidewalls extending downward therefrom. The opposing sidewalls can slope outward and away from one another as they extend downward from the deck portion. The modules further comprise a shoulder for supporting a link slab, and to support and separate modules that are stacked during transportation or storage. The sidewalls can define an interior fluid passageway having a flared configuration from top to bottom. The link slab and sidewalls of adjacent modules can define an exterior fluid passageway in fluid communication with a lateral fluid channel. A method is also provided for making a precast concrete module for use in the modular assembly.

A method of manufacturing a water detention chamber by providing a polymer melt, injecting a CO2 blowing agent into the polymer melt, and injecting the polymer melt and CO2 blowing agent blend into a mold cavity. The mold cavity defines an arch-shaped corrugated chamber having upstanding ribs and a flange having an upper surface and a lower surface. The flange has one or more protrusions, preferably elongated members, at the first end of the chamber. The flange also has one or more mating apertures or cavities at the opposite end from the protrusions.
