In one implementation, a stormwater management crate for managing stormwater runoff may be provided. The stormwater management crate may include a top plate having a first plurality of support column attachments and one or more support column assemblies located below the top plate; the one or more support column assemblies being affixed to the top plate at the support column attachments. The stormwater management crate may further include a bottom plate having a second plurality of support column attachments located below the support column assemblies. Stormwater management crates may be arranged into an array and include side panels of variable heights. The array of stormwater management crates may be further wrapped in sediment impervious material and serve to restrict stormwater flow as part of a stormwater management system.

Drain protector

A drain protector having a flexible adsorbent pad, a raised insert, and a cover is described. The pad and the insert each includes aligned apertures. The raised insert is positioned over the flexible adsorbent pad or within the aperture of the flexible adsorbent pad. The cover is connected to the flexible adsorbent pad, a raised insert, forming a space over the insert. The drain protector is made from adsorbent material for blocking sediment, collecting contaminants and filtering water into a drain. The cover of the drain protector reinforces the sheet and insert to protect against damage from traffic over the drain protector.

A modular fluid retention system and method for exemplary uses collecting and temporarily retaining fluids, for example stormwater run-off. One example of the system includes a plurality of modular retaining units which are selectively connected together to form an interior chamber volume for collecting stormwater run-off directed into the chamber volume. A plurality of modular trays are engaged with portions of the respective retention units to prevent relative movement of the retention units and eliminate, or substantially reduce, the need for porous material to be installed in and around the retention units greatly increasing the excavation void space usable for water collection and retention. In an alternate application, only a plurality of modular trays are used as the vertical support and fluid retention volume structure for the fluid retention system.
