Polygonal drainage channel system and method
A substantially polygonal drainage channel system is provided. The drainage channel can include a substantially polygonal cross-section that can have rounded corners or edges. More specifically, the cross-section of the drainage channel can be formed to resemble an upside-down pear. The drainage channel can have a cross-sectional shape that can be created by first placing two circles of different diameters on top of one another. The top circle can be larger than the bottom circle. The two circles can then be connected with two tangential lines, one on each side, resulting in a shape in which a top of the drainage channel tapers down toward a bottom of the drainage channel. The drainage channel can also include ribs, drainage slots, and a connector-check valve. A method for installing a drainage channel is also provided.
Drainage system, drainage units, and methods
Disclosed is a drainage system (1) comprising: at least one water receiving unit (20) having: a water receptacle (22) for receiving water from an adjoining surface of an upper stratum; and at least one drainage unit comprising: a body; wherein: the water receptacle (22) can be integrated into the upper stratum; the drainage unit can be provided and oriented, at least in part, in a central stratum at a distance under the surface, with respect to its uppermost face, such that water flowing out of the water receiving unit (20) can flow into the drainage unit through a connection between the water receptacle (22) and the body; and the connection can be maintained irrespective of a change in this distance. Also disclosed are drainage units and methods.
TRENCH SYSTEM
A trench system includes a trench body operable to contain chemicals without corroding. The trench body includes a trench floor having a longitudinal length and a lateral width. A pair of first and second sidewalls is welded to opposing longitudinal perimeters of the trench floor and extend vertically upwards therefrom. Wall support ribs are attached to outer surfaces of the first and second sidewalls and extend laterally outward and vertically upward therefrom. Floor support ribs are attached to an outer surface of the trench floor and extend vertically downward therefrom. A vertically extending anchoring slot is attached to an outer distal edge of each wall support rib. Each anchoring slot is configured to receive a metal reinforcement bar therethrough at an acute angle to the wall support ribs. The metal reinforcement bars are operable to reinforce concrete poured around the outer surfaces of the first and second sidewalls.
Covering device for a slotted channel
Slotted channels with coverings (10) are known for discharging surface water into a channel. The covering has at least one horizontal sheet-metal portion (13) and two vertical sheet-metal portions (11, 12) which are connected to one another via connection devices and have a slot (14) between one another for discharging liquid, for example surface water, into the channel body. In order to allow a particularly complete discharge of water, it is proposed that the horizontal sheet-metal portion (13) comprises drip devices (15) which are mounted and designed in such a way that water running along on an underside of the horizontal sheet-metal portion (13) drips into the channel body.
Gutter
The invention relates to a gutter element for draining, for example, road surfaces, which can be joined together to form a line of guttering. In order to seal off the connection, an elastic seal (30) is provided in the abutment region. In order to improve the hydraulic properties of the gutter, the cross-sectional profile of the invert (16) of the gutter (10) is substantially V-shaped. To improve sealing, the profile following the seal (30) in cross-section should be formed differently to that of the invert (16) in such a way that it has a constant maximum radius of curvature in the region of the gutter invert.
GROUND GUTTER SYSTEM
A ground gutter system, including an inner surface to receive water thereupon, the inner surface including at least one hole, a border surrounding the inner surface, and a pipe connected at a first end to the at least one hole to direct the water away from the ground gutter system out a second end.
MONOLITHIC SLOTTED DRAIN
A monolithic slotted drain system that utilizes monolithic drain segments formed from pre-cast, steel-reinforced concrete having a molded passageway therein into which fluids are directed via a slot opening.
Connection device between a gutter and gully
Connection devices for connecting a drainage gutter to a further functional element (10), for example to an inlet box, are known, which comprise an adapter plate (20) to which the drainage gutter can be connected. In order to ensure simple assembly on the building site in combination with a high degree of tightness, it is proposed to provide a cast-in part (40) which can be tightly cast into a wall of the functional element (10) and comprises fastening devices by means of which the adapter plate (20) can be fixedly connected to the cast-in part (40) in such a way that a flow space (2) of the drainage gutter can be tightly connected to an interior of the functional part (10) via a transfer space.
CHANNEL DRAIN
A channel drain for use in a fabricated surface having an exposed appearance. The channel drain includes a first body having a plurality of support surfaces, with each support surface extending from a respective body sidewall in spaced relation to a body lower wall. A plurality of inserts are insertable into the first body. Each insert includes an insert cavity sized and structured to receive a selected material having an appearance substantially identical to the exposed appearance of the fabricated surface. Each insert is supported by certain ones of the plurality of support surfaces when inserted into the first body and is sized and structured to define a gap between the pair of body sidewalls when inserted into the first body, with the gap allowing for fluid to flow therethrough toward the body lower wall.
Trench drain bridge and clip attachment for the same
A trench drain assembly includes a cross-bar that can swivel into arcuate guides in the sidewalls of the trench drain assembly and a grate clip assembly for reversibly attaching a grate to a cross-bar, whether of the swivel in type described herein or a cross-bar of a different style.
