Oil and grit separator system with twin vortex
12134048 · 2024-11-05 ·

An oil and grit separator system having twin vortex which uses gravity providing a twin vortex effect to remove sediment and oil from contaminated water. The system is designed to control storm water runoff and reduce the annual suspended solids loading of the granulometric particles. The conception and configuration of the system has a double action vortex. It ensures an optimal treatment level in either light or heavy rain and avoids re-suspension of particles. It also removes, separates and stores floating oil without any possible re-suspension of the matter.

Energy dissipator and associated system for use in sumped flow-through manholes

An energy dissipator for use in a sumped manhole includes a sheet member. The sheet member defines a downstream surface, an upstream surface opposite the downstream surface, and opposing side edges each extending between the downstream surface and the upstream surface. The sheet member includes a plurality of apertures. Each of the plurality of apertures extends through both the downstream surface and the upstream surface. The sheet member extends in an arcuate manner between the opposing side edges. The dissipator is configured to intercept fluid flow within the manhole to decrease energy and control flow dynamics within the manhole.

MANHOLE BASE ASSEMBLY WITH INTERNAL LINER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME

A manhole base assembly and a method for making the same, in which a non-cylindrical, low-volume concrete base is fully lined to protect the concrete against chemical and physical attack while in service. This lined concrete manhole base assembly may be readily produced using a modular manhole form assembly which can be configured for a wide variety of geometrical configurations compatible with, e.g., varying pipe angles, elevations and sizes. The form assembly is configurable to provide any desired angle and elevation for the pipe apertures using existing, standard sets of form assembly materials, and may also be used in conjunction with industry-standard cylindrical casting jackets for compatibility with existing casting operations. The resulting system provides for flexible construction of a wide variety of lined manhole base assemblies at minimal cost, reduced concrete consumption and reduced operational complexity. The modular nature of the production form assembly also facilitates reduced inventory requirements when various manhole base assembly geometries are needed.

METHOD, CONNECTOR AND APPARATUS FOR CONNECTING A PIPE TO A PIT OR A WALL

A connector for coupling a pipe to a vessel, the connector having an inner diameter to fit over the pipe and an inlet to receive a binder to fill and seal a cavity between the connector and the pipe. The invention also relates to method for connecting a pipe to a pit or wall comprising defining an opening in a sidewall of the pit or in the wall with an insert or a frame, providing a binder within the insert or frame to seal against the pipe which is inserted into the opening or into the insert or frame, wherein the binder binds the pipe to the insert or frame. The invention also relates to a pit incorporating the connector and an assembly including the pipe fixed to the connector.
