SYSTEM FOR INCREASING AND DISPLAYING EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY OF STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE

An active water storage infrastructure management facility that includes a stormwater BMP comprising a storage gallery for containing a volume of stormwater runoff, a drain system in fluid communication with the storage gallery, a liquid level sensor disposed in the storage gallery for measuring the volume of runoff water introduced into the storage gallery, a fluid flow sensor disposed on the drain system to measure a portion of the volume of runoff water exiting the drain system, and a real-time-control valve disposed proximate an outlet end of the drain system. The facility may also include a control system in electronic communication with the liquid level sensor, the fluid flow sensor, and the real-time-control valve. The facility may be used to control the outflow of runoff through the real-time-control valve so as to optimize the operation of the facility for a particular design capability.

A removable catch basin filter insert includes a filter container is fitted into a catch basin in the ground at the location where the stormwater exits the gutter and enters the stormwater sewer system. The removable catch basin filter provides pollution capture from stormwater while being easily cleaned. A hinged cover is included at the top of the filter insert to allow the captured pollutants to be evacuated through the use of a vehicle or being tipped nearly upside down by a mechanical arm. A hinged trap door is included at the bottom of the filter insert to allow captured pollutants to be evacuated through the bottom of the device and into a container. By capturing the pollutants with the removable catch basin filter insert before the pollutants enter the mainline storm drain system, clean storm drain systems are provided allowing for cleaner waterways.

Dry Floor Bath Tub Attachment
20190357731 · 2019-11-28 ·

This device when adapted to an ordinary bath tub, converts the tub into a system that prevents spilled water resulting from the process of taking a bath, from spilling onto the bathroom floor. This device captures the water that ordinarily would have fallen on the floor and redirects it to a reservoir tank, for holding. This tank or water holding device, stores the water until it is quickly and easily disposed by dumping it back into the tub's drainage system.

There is no other system that has the ability to keep the bathroom floor completely dry when either taking a shower or a bath. With a series of shield, water trough and hoses, the water that ordinarily would have become a safety hazard on the floor, is quickly channeled off to a drain line, there to a reservoir tank from which the water would be disposed.

The device is attractive, non-intrusive and light weight. It is also detachable after installation and is completely portable and transferrable.

Backflow valve assembly
10472816 · 2019-11-12 ·

A backflow valve assembly for preventing gas and backup waste from escaping a floor drain includes a tube that is configured to fluidically couple to a drain line. A pipe is coupled to and axially positioned in the tube. The pipe has upper and lower ends that are closed. At least one gasket is coupled to an inner surface of the pipe and defines upper and lower chambers. Penetrations are positioned through the pipe to allow flow of gasses and liquids into the pipe. First and second balls, which are less dense than water, are positioned in the upper and lower chambers, respectively. The first ball prevents escape of the gasses from the tube. The first ball floats to open the gasket to permit the flow of the liquids to the drain line. The second ball floats to close the gasket to prevent escape of waste from the tube.
