Module for drainage and method of assembly
The invention provides a modular unit or module (20) for use in an underground water management system. The modular unit or module (20) comprises a prism structure being a polyhedron enclosing a pair of internal members (6, 6). The internal members (6, 6) comprise a first member (6) comprising a first arch (9), and a second member (6) comprising a second arch (9) located at an angle to and being arranged inverted with respect to the first arch (9). The invention also provides a modular system (100) for use in underground water management, the modular system (100) comprising a plurality of the modules or modular units (20, 20).
Reservoir control systems and methods
Embodiments relate generally to a management system for controlling operations of a reservoir. The management system comprises a wireless transceiver in communication with a controller associated with the reservoir to allow the management system to communicate with the controller over a communications network. The management system further comprises a processor for determining weather data for a particular region, wherein the reservoir is associated with the region, determining operation instructions based on at least the weather data; and transmitting via the wireless transceiver a command signal to the controller, wherein the command signal includes operation instructions for activating a flow control mechanism associated with the reservoir.
CELL FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A cell for a stormwater management system includes a body portion, an internal region, and at least one of a top portion or a bottom portion. The body portion includes a plurality of corner columns spaced from each other, a first horizontal member, and a second horizontal member. At least one of the first and second horizontal members is adjacent the at least one of the top portion or the bottom portion and opposite the other horizontal member. The first horizontal member extends between at least two corner columns and has at least a portion curved inward towards the internal region. The second horizontal member extends between at least two corner columns and has at least a portion curved inward towards the internal region. The first and second horizontal members are integrally formed with the body portion.
Stormwater vault servicing process
A stormwater vault and a process for servicing the stormwater vault speeds the process of cleaning a stormwater vault. The stormwater vault has a built in liquefaction system for liquefying settled debris in the vault which works together with a sloped or angled floor in the vault. The settled debris is flushed toward the inlet to a vacuum removal line inserted into the vault through an access opening for removing the settled debris from the vault.
WATER STORAGE IN SUBSURFACE STORM WATER BASINS
A water storage and filtering system for capturing pollutants from pollution borne storm water. The water storage and filtering system comprises a subsurface basin, at least one tire bundle made from a plurality of substantially whole tires secured sidewall to sidewall, and a filler which substantially fills the unoccupied volume of the subsurface basin. Pollutants in the storm water are captured as sediment in the subsurface basin as a result of the filtration and storage effects of the combination of the filler and tire bundles. The subsurface basin is covered by a water-permeable structure and multiple hollow vertical support columns may be included to support the expected load on the top of the basin.
INTEGRATED RETAINING WALL AND FLUID COLLECTION SYSTEM
A fluid collection and retention system is provided. In some embodiments, the system is integrated with and comprises a retaining wall structure, and the retaining wall structure forms at least a portion of an enclosed volume of a module for collecting and storing fluid. Various features of a fluid retention module and related supporting structures are also provided.
CROSSFLOW SETTING DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
A stormwater treatment device may include a crossflow settling device having a treatment channel defined by a front baffle, a rear baffle, and a pairs angled plates provided at supplementary angles therebetween and disposed between the front baffle and the rear baffle, the front baffle having a treatment channel opening and the rear baffle having a treatment channel outlet. Under normal flow, stormwater flows into the inlet and into the inlet chamber, into the treatment channel via the treatment channel opening, into the outlet chamber via the treatment channel outlet in a crossflow pattern causing the sediment to fall out of suspension, and out of the crossflow setting device through openings at the bottom of the pairs of angled plates.
SIPHON FLOAT SYSTEM
A siphon float system comprises a central dowel in communication with a batch reactor. A siphon float is slidably engaged with the central dowel, wherein the siphon float is hydraulically operated. A plurality of valves are in communication with the siphon float, wherein the plurality of valves selectively control a flow of water. one or more dowel pegs contact one or more valve triggers based on a level of fluid in the batch reactor; and a plurality of hoses to direct the flow of water.
Plastic infiltration unit, a system comprising a plurality of plastic infiltration units
There is provided a plastic infiltration unit comprising: a top deck which extends in a plane, at least one pillar extending from the top deck for supporting the top deck, wherein the top deck is provided with at least one integrated connector arranged to connect the plastic infiltration unit with another at least one integrated connector, of another plastic infiltration unit in a side by side arrangement.
Tilt diverter to control storm-water
The device herein disclosed and described provides a water collection system that separates the initial flush of rainwater, which contains higher concentrations of undesirable contaminants from later received rainwater having lower concentrations of contaminants to be stored for later use or to be discharged directly to receiving bodies of water. The device contains a cistern for treating first flush rainwater, a basin for receiving water in fluid connection with the cistern and a water storage tank, a water diversion channel that diverts first flush rain water to the cistern and additional rainwater to a water storage tank, a floatation device on a connecting rod affixed to the diversion channel that acts to operate the diversion channel when the water in the cistern achieves a desired height by diverting the additional water received to the water storage tank.
