Enclosed hose reel used for sewer jetting

A hose reel arrangement for sewer jetting includes a reel; a hose wound around the reel; a reel frame holding the reel; and a cover arrangement. The reel frame with the reel is rotatable about a frame axis perpendicular to a horizontal mounting surface. The cover arrangement is over a majority of the reel and reel frame. The cover arrangement is selectively movable to expose a portion of the reel to provide access to the hose. The cover arrangement is fixed in position relative to the rotatable reel frame and reel.

SYSTEMS FOR EMPTYING PIT LATRINES AND SEPTIC TANKS

An example system includes an auger assembly that is attachable to a vacuum system, in which the auger assembly includes a hose, an auger, and an auger motor. The hose includes an inlet at a distal end and an outlet at a proximal end. The auger includes a shaftless helical blade having a portion that is radially enveloped by the hose. The vacuum system is adapted to suck material from the septic tank or pit latrine via the hose. The auger motor is adapted to rotate the auger about a helical axis in a first direction, in which the rotation about the helical axis in the first direction causes the shaftless helical blade of the auger to translate along the helical axis from the outlet of the hose towards the inlet of the hose.

Debris catcher
09861914 · 2018-01-09 ·

A method of discharge and a debris catching device for connection to a discharge pipe of a tank of a septic truck where the device includes a fitting to connect to the pipe and an exposed catcher connected to the fitting such that the catcher has fingers in a spaced relation from an output port of the fitting. The fingers span in spaced relation to each other and allow septage expelled from the fitting to pass through the catcher and onto a field where the truck is moving forward.

WASTE STREAM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20170136480 · 2017-05-18 ·

A method for managing a live stream of waste stream fluids in which a controller of an applicator unit accesses data indicative of a first concentration of at least one contaminant in a volume of waste stream fluids loaded in the applicator unit, and a contaminant capacity profile indicative of an amount of the at least one contaminant to be applied in the land area. At least a portion of the volume of waste stream fluids loaded in the applicator unit is applied on at least a portion of a land area based on the first concentration of the at least one contaminant in the volume of waste stream fluids and the contaminant capacity profile. The controller generates an updated contaminant capacity profile based at least in part on the volume of waste stream fluids applied on the land area and the first concentration of the at least one contaminant in the volume of waste stream fluids applied to the land area.

Nozzle for a Vacuum Pump or Truck
20170072439 · 2017-03-16 ·

A vacuum nozzle for a vacuum pump or truck, the vacuum nozzle comprising: a vacuum conduit configured to be connected to a vacuum source; a primary inlet fluidically connected to the vacuum conduit for receiving flow under suction; and a secondary inlet fluidically connected to the vacuum conduit for receiving flow under suction, the secondary inlet being positioned upstream of the primary inlet so as to allow flow to bypass the primary inlet, thereby preventing the primary inlet from sealing against a surface under suction.

Waste stream management system and method

A contaminant management system includes a scouting unit configured to map a perimeter including a portion of a land area where to apply a waste stream, and to transmit the perimeter to a control center configured to access data indicative of a contaminant profile of a contaminant in the portion of the land area in the perimeter, and data of a maximum allowable amount of the contaminant, and to generate a contaminant capacity profile for the portion of the land area in the perimeter. An applicator unit includes a movable container, a variable flowrate valve and a controller configured to receive the contaminant capacity profile and data indicative of a concentration of the contaminant in a volume of fluids loaded in the applicator unit, and to cause the variable flowrate valve to open, close, or maintain its position based on the location of the applicator unit relative to the perimeter.
