Fortified radial arch structure
Arch structure defining equidistant points along a radial curve and comprising uniformly-sized, standard stock, elongated rectangular cross-section stringer members, uniformly-sized, standard stock, elongated rectangular cross-section arch members each having a midpoint and first and second angled ends of equal but opposing to one another angular magnitude, each arch member adapted to converge crossways on and completely abut a side surface of two non-adjacently positioned stringer members, each of the arch members further being adapted for undergirding a stringer member located between two non-adjacently positioned stringer members at the mid-point of the arch member, each arch member adapted for being oriented in scissor-like crossing relationship to another arch member, a plurality of fasteners, and where needed at least one tensioning member preferably attached between end stringer members, or alternatively between foundation members, the tensioning members and fasteners making the arch structure fortified to be as if monolithic.
Portable motion picture theater
A portable theater includes a plurality of individual panels assembled together to form a theater enclosure, a plurality of audience seats installed within the assembled theater enclosure, and a projection screen mounted within the assembled theater enclosure. The projection screen has a partial toroidal shaped reflective surface configured to reflect, toward the plurality of audience seats, a moving image as projected by a projector.
MODULAR WALL SYSTEMS
A modular wall structure can include a first modular unit having a first face defined by a first perimeter and a second modular unit having a second face defined by a second perimeter. The first modular unit can be operably and selectively coupled to the second modular unit. Base units can be provided to support the first and second modular units.
Construction automation system and method
A method for laying a plurality of objects to form a polyhedron, the method including: determining a pattern for each of a plurality of courses constituting the polyhedron based on the type of the polyhedron and the frequency of the polyhedron; determining a unique group from each of the plurality of courses; determining members of the unique group and orientation of each the member of the unique group from the plurality of objects; and laying the plurality of objects as determined from the above steps to form the polyhedron.
Adjustable height desk with acoustical dome
A novel workstation which incorporates an acoustical dome for increased acoustic and visual privacy for the user. The workstation further is adjustable in height such that it is able to accommodate a range of users from the 5.sup.th percentile seated female to the 95.sup.th percentile standing male according to the dictates of ANSI/HFES100-2007 national ergonomic standard. The workstation is further designed to be in electrical and data communication with other workstations to optimize the workstation density in an open working environment without compromising user privacy.
EXTENDABLE ARM, VARIABLE SHAPE FRAME, AND VARIABLE SHAPE THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURE
An extendable arm is comprised of a plurality of cross units arranged in one direction with adjacent ones of the cross units being pivotally coupled at their ends via end coupling shafts. Each of the cross units is comprised of first and second rigid members crossing each other in an X shape and pivotally coupled at their intersection via a middle coupling shaft. The extendable arm includes an engaging protrusion and an engaging recess which move toward each other as the extendable arm extends and fit together when the extendable arm extends to a predetermined length.

ASSEMBLED STRUCTURE
An assembled structure includes multiple first assembling units, each of the first assembling units comprising main body parts and connection parts, wherein the main body parts have a profile shape of a polygon having 6n equal-length sides, wherein n is a positive integer; and the connection parts are provided on each equal-length side of each main body part; and the connection parts on each equal-length side are connected to each neighboring first assembling unit by a sliding pair, and the sliding direction of the sliding pair is the same as the extension direction of the sliding pair on the equal-length side on which the sliding pair resides.
