A geodesic dome structure having a doorway in a vertical plane, includes: a single upper pentagonal planar member provided at a topmost position; five upper hexagonal planar members with vertices thereof meeting facing vertices of the upper pentagonal planar member; five middle pentagonal planar members disposed between the upper hexagonal planar members, with upper vertices thereof meeting corresponding vertices of the upper hexagonal planar member; five middle hexagonal planar members disposed between the upper hexagonal planar members and the middle pentagonal planar members; a single lower doorway hexagonal planar member disposed between the middle hexagonal planar member.
Pre-fabricated dome
A pre-fabricated dome and a spherical structure include strut assembly sets, into which glass panels or synthetic resin transparent plates are to be inserted, are assembled into 5 sets of hexagonal modular assemblies around a pentagonal assembly to build a primary pentagonal modular assembly, and further 5 sets of primary pentagonal modular assemblies, into which upper and lower, (outer and inner) struts are assembled in 2 layers (of outer and inner walls), are interconnected to build a semi-spherical dome, and if 12 sets of primary pentagonal modular assemblies are assembled, a solid cylindrical structure can be built to provide a perfect block between the outdoor and the indoor so that the room temperature will not be affected at all by the outdoor temperature.
BATTEN BAR ASSEMBLY
A batten bar is configured to secure first and second adjacent flat panels to a structural framework. The batten bar includes first and second inside legs, first and second outside legs, and a plurality of apertures disposed along the length of the batten bar. The first and second inside legs define a central channel. The first outside leg and the first inside leg define a first seal recess configured to receive and retain a first seal. The second outside leg and the second inside leg define a second seal recess configured to receive and retain a second seal. In an installed configuration, the first inside leg and the first outside leg are configured to contact the first flat panel along a first common plane, and the second inside leg and second outside leg contact the second panel along a second common plane.
A FRAMELESS TEMPORARY OR EMERGENCY SHELTER
A foldable, frameless emergency shelter is constructed from a radial array of bendable yet rigid panels such as of a foamed plastic. Panels have adjoining edges with matching convexly curved profiles. The edges are always held to each other with a flexible fastener such as an adhesive tape. During erection, a flat panel inherently deforms into a curved cylindrical tapered shape enclosing a space. A door and an optional floor are provided. The shelter has a rigid conical cap including holes for guy ropes, a door and an optional window.
Adjustable Height Desk with Acoustical Dome
The present invention is directed to a novel workstation which incorporates an acoustical dome for increased acoustic and visual privacy for the user. The workstation further is adjustable in height such that it is able to accommodate a range of users from the 5.sup.th percentile seated female to the 95.sup.th percentile standing male according to the dictates of ANSI/HFES100-2007 national ergonomic standard. The workstation is further designed to be in electrical and data communication with other workstations to optimize the workstation density in an open working environment without compromising user privacy.
HEMISPHERICAL SOLAR PANEL FOR ENHANCED LIGHT ABSORPTION
A photovoltaic panel having a flat substrate with at least one hemispherical shaped structure positioned on the flat substrate, and a plurality of solar cells are adhered to and cover hemispherical shaped structure is presented. Utilizing a hemispherical-shape with the diameter of the original length of the supporting substrate will provide a 57% increase in the surface area available to collect solar radiation with an accompanying increase in the energy generated.

A connector is described herein. In an embodiment, a connector may comprises an upper wall, a lower wall, one or more outer circular walls and one or more inner circular walls; wherein one of the one or more outer circular walls is an extended part of the upper wall or the lower wall; wherein one of the one or more outer circular walls and one of the one or more inner circular walls are configured to form a circular slot between the outer circular wall and the inner circular wall; wherein the connector is configured to accommodate a plurality of ends of a plurality of planar panels in the circular slot to connect the plurality of planar panels. The connect further comprises a top connector piece and a bottom connector piece; wherein the top connector piece comprises the upper wall and one of the one or more inner circular walls; wherein the bottom connector piece comprises the lower wall and one of the one or more inner circular walls; wherein the top connector piece and the bottom connector piece are configured to be joined. In an embodiment, the connector is configured to facilitate the assembly of a dome structure.

The present invention corresponds to a formwork mechanism for casting and molding concrete, comprising a coffer having a sheet and four plates around the sheet perimeter. Each plate has holes arranged on its front face. Also, the formwork mechanism includes a structural element, connected to one of the plates by fixing means. On the other hand, the structural element has lateral perforations that are aligned with the holes of one of the coffer plates. Fixing means pass through the holes and side holes. The structural element may be a beam, a three or four-beam T, and combinations thereof. On the other hand, using several coffers interconnected with structural elements, formworks are constructed for casting flat reticular slabs; and also for curved reticular slabs with greater slab thickness near the beams supporting the slabs in comparison to the span of the slabs.
