Object handling system and method
A system, comprising: a storage workspace including a first framework defined by a series of first uprights, the first uprights supporting a grid of two substantially perpendicular sets of rails; and a plurality of containers for storing objects, wherein the plurality of containers are arranged in stacks, each stack of containers is located underneath a grid space in the workspace; and a grid extension including a continuation of the two substantially perpendicular sets of rails, and wherein the plurality of containers can be moved by one or more load handling devices between the storage workspace and an area beneath the grid extension, wherein the area beneath the grid extension is configured for positioning a roll cage such that containers can be placed or removed from the roll cage.
Modular dynamic building structure and method for configuring the same
A modular dynamic building system includes a superstructure and a container. The superstructure includes: a plurality of columns; a plurality of beams connected to the columns to form an opening into the superstructure; and a plurality of tracks connected to the superstructure and in the opening. The container includes an opening in one side thereof and a plurality of wheels connected to a bottom surface of the container. The wheels of the container are on the tracks of the superstructure, and the opening in the container faces into the superstructure.
MODULAR BUILDING SYSTEMS
A building module for use in construction of a building comprising a deck oriented in a horizontal plane and a plurality of hollow structural members extending downwardly from around a periphery of the deck. A method of constructing a building comprising placing a plurality of modules according to a floor plan to form a story of the building, pouring flowable medium that sets to a become a solid structural material into the hollow structural members of the plurality of modules to form structural columns, pouring flowable medium that sets to a become a solid structural material onto the decks of the plurality of modules for form structural slabs, and allowing the structural columns and structural slabs to set to complete the story of the building.
NON-BEARING MODULAR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
Methods and apparatus facilitate the construction of a building using prefabricated building units, each having a horizontal upper exterior surface and a plurality of vertical wall surfaces, wherein at least some of the prefabricated building units have at least one hollow column formwork structure. The prefabricated building units are lowered onto a pre-existing base at a construction site. A first story of the building is created by arranging a plurality of the prefabricated building units adjacent to each other on the base. Structural bearing material is applied to fill the hollow column formwork structures to create structural columns connected to the structural deck. Structural bearing material is applied to the horizontal upper exterior surfaces of the adjacent prefabricated building units to create a single structural deck over the prefabricated building units.
Integrated Steel Concrete Building and Construction Method thereof
The present invention discloses an integrated steel concrete building and its construction method. The building comprises a plurality of prefabricated room modules of steel, each including at least one column having a structure of hollow steel tube, which has an inner chamber inserted with penetrating rebars and poured with concrete. The penetrating rebars extend upwardly out of the column of the prefabricated room module into an inner chamber of a column of a prefabricated room module of an upper floor.
Robotic parking device and handling method
An exemplary robotic parking device of the present disclosure includes a number of stacks of containers. The stacks being positioned within a frame structure including uprights and a horizontal grid disposed above the stacks. The grid having substantially perpendicular rails on which load handling devices can run. Cars or vehicles are positioned in containers and are moved into and out of the stacks by the robotic handling devices running on the grid. The cars are put into the grid at entry points that may be positioned at points under the stacks.
OBJECT HANDLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A vehicle for use with an object handling system, the object handling system including two substantially perpendicular sets of rails forming a first grid, a plurality of first uprights supporting the first grid, a plurality of containers arranged in stacks, each stack being located underneath the first grid, one or more robotic load handling devices configured to drive on top of the rails of the first grid, the one or more load handling devices including means for removing or replacing at least one container from the stacks. The vehicle includes two substantially perpendicular sets of rails forming a second grid substantially at the top of the vehicle above a storage space for carrying containers. The second grid interfaces with the first grid to allow the one or more load handling devices to drive from the rails of the first grid onto the rails of the second grid.
STORAGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A storage system is described where goods are stored in containers and the containers are stored in stacks. Above the stacks runs a grid network of tracks on which load handling devices run. The load handling devices take containers from the stacks and deposit then at alternative locations in the stacks or deposit then at stations where goods may be picked out. Each container may be provided with connectors having a push fit male connector located at a top edge of the container and a female connector at a bottom edge of the container. Adjacent containers in a stack can be linked by routing means, which form moldings on each container. The connectors can also have spring-loaded contacts. The provision of these services within individual containers rather than across the system as a whole, allows for flexibility in storage whilst reducing cost and inefficiency.
Building unit, method for manufacturing building unit and building
A volumetric, building unit including a support frame having a plurality of support frame members, a plurality of modular interior wall units, a plurality of modular interior ceiling units and a plurality of modular floor units and wherein the spaced apart coupling between the support frame and the interior walls and interior ceiling provides flexibility between the support frame and the interior wall and interior ceiling, so that the deformation of the support frame within a predetermined range is not transmitted to the interior wall and/or interior ceiling. Disclosed also a method for manufacturing a building unit and a modular building.
