Interchangable modular construction method
A modular building at a job site comprises one or more volumes templates, each comprising two or more core locations and a corridor all bounded within a volume footprint. A core for each core location is selected from a core catalog. Each core includes a base, at least three walls projecting upward from a floor of the base, a ceiling closing off an interior space, and an interior kit of internal walls, appliances, fixtures, and the like. Each volume template, the selected cores, and internal kits are constructed concurrently at a manufacturing facility along with external walls to complete each volume, which is transported to the job site. Adjacent volumes are connected together, with service lines of each core being connected with supply lines at the job site.
Laser finishing design tool
A computer system of a finishing center, such as a mobile finishing center, includes a tool that allows a customer to preview or create new designs for apparel before purchase and before laser finishing. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn or ablate the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the customer will be able to preview, create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before purchase and burning or ablation by a laser. Input to the tool can include fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. In an implementation, the customer or another user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.
PREFABRICATED RETROFIT STACKABLE AND ATTACHABLE ESCAPE TOWER
Multi-story retrofitting building escape units. In aspects, the units are prefabricated and may be stacked. In embodiments, water or other fire-deterrent liquid or foam may be stored or delivered in tubular legs of the unit or tubes with in the legs. A hose or other mechanism to apply the water or other liquid is located in one more units. Each unit comprises stairs that link up with stairs on units above or below so occupants can climb down, for example, and emergency personnel can climb up, for example. In aspects, one or more walls of the unit are fire walls or otherwise fire-retardant, fire-proof, or fire-resistant.
BUILDING SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURED HOMES
A multi-story building (200) is described for manufactured homes (212) such as container homes. The building (200) includes a ground floor (202), a number of intermediate floors (204), and a top floor (206). The building (200) includes a throughway (208) on the ground floor (202) that allows passage of a transportation vehicle (210) such as a flatbed truck carrying a manufactured home (212). The transportation vehicle (210) can use the throughway (208) to position the manufactured home (212) in alignment with a hoistway (214). A hoist mounted on the roof (216) can then be used to hoist the home (212) to a desired floor (204 or 206).
MODULAR MULTI-CONTAINER HOUSING STRUCTURE, MULTI-CONTAINER INTERLOCK, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURE OF SAME
A modular multi-container housing structure connector for containers, which each have sides including a roof, a floor, and four lateral sides, includes a connector frame comprising vertical and horizontal struts shaped to connect to at least one of the sides of two adjacent containers and at least one interlock configured to secure the connector frame to the side of one container. The at least one interlock may be a plurality of interlocks. The connector frame may comprise two vertical struts and two horizontal struts each shaped and configured to connect to a respective edge of an adjacent side of two adjacent containers and, responsive to the connector frame being connected to two adjacent sides of two adjacent containers by the plurality of interlocks, the connector frame and interlocks form a container-to-connector frame-to-container connection to establish a weather-tight housing structure with the two or multiple connected containers.
SELF-STORAGE FACILITY, FABRICATION, AND METHODOLOGY
A storage facility. The facility comprises a plurality of load-bearing containers located at a single facility. The facility further comprises a climate controlled enclosure comprising a skin and providing a volume around the plurality of load-bearing containers. The climate controlled enclosure further comprises a ceiling above and positioned to shield an uppermost level of the plurality of load-bearing containers from outdoor environmental exposure.
PLATFORM FOR STACKING CONTAINERS AS HOUSINGS OF COMPONENTS OF AN ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM, AND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a platform for the space-saving formation of an energy conversion system. In this, containers are stacked one above the other as housings of components of the energy conversion system with the platform arranged between the containers, wherein the platform has a frame structure which has, on a first side, first alignment elements for placing the platform on a first container and, on a second side, opposite the first side, of the frame structure, second alignment elements for placing a second container on a placement area of the frame structure. The first and second alignment elements are arranged in such a way that they result in an arrangement, which is laterally centered and vertically spaced apart by a height (H) of the platform, of the second container above the first container, wherein the frame structure forms a standing area, which circumferentially surrounds the placement area and is walkable by persons, as access to the second container. An energy conversion system can be designed as a stack of at least two containers as housings of components of the energy conversion system, between each of which containers such a platform is arranged.
Liftable foldable transportable buildings
A fork tube arrangement for facilitating the movement of a foldable transportable building.
Utility Building Module
A building module that can accommodate wiring, plumbing, insolation, stairs, and any other device or material desired in construction of structures involving intermodal containers. Embodiments of the building module contain spaces and joist structure, which can provide support for one or more intermodal containers. The joist structure can include several perpendicular beams in a grid formation. These beams can have openings for the purpose of lightening the structure, saving on materials, and allowing space for utility materials such as wiring, plumbing, and other implements used in the walls, floors, and ceilings of structure construction. Building module embodiments can also be used as a header to stabilize walls for the addition of doorways and windows.
Prefabricated building module
A prefabricated building module is described. The building module may provide structural stability for a building, including when stacked with like building modules. The building module may provide a service riser for the building. The building module may provide fixtures for the building, including bathroom, kitchen and laundry fixtures. Also described is a building including prefabricated building modules and a method of constructing a building using prefabricated building modules.
