Roofing and Wall Systems and Batten-Equipped, Foil-Laminated, Internally Drainable Insulation Panels for Same
20210131094 · 2021-05-06 ·

Insulation panels for wall construction and roofing installation are characterized by inlaid battens in outer faces thereof by which multiple layers of insulation can be installed without thermal bridging. Second and any subsequent layers are each fastened only to the battens of the immediately underlying layer, without fully penetrating therethrough to the roof deck, building wrap or other substrate. Laminated facers of perforated character allow migration of moisture to and from a foam core of the panel, while internal channels and internal slots beneath the facer enable drainage/drying of excess moisture without material degradation of the inlaid battens. Additional drainage space within each layer is provided at inter-panel connections, where tongue and groove connections are configured to leave such drainage space open between the tongue and groove.

An external insulation penetration edge frame includes a frame portion constructed of an insulating material and comprising a front face, a rear face, an outside perimeter, an inside perimeter defining a frame opening, an outside portion extending from the outside perimeter toward the inside perimeter and an inside portion extending from internal edge toward outside edge, a mesh encapsulated in a base coat along the rear face, the inside perimeter, and the front face; and a plastic sheeting secured to the rear face of the inside portion and covering the frame opening.

MODIFIED FOAM WALL STRUCTURES WITH HIGH RACKING STRENGTH AND METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE

Modified and connected foam wall structures and methods for making them are described. The wall structures include a frame, a foam panel attached to the frame, a foam layer disposed in a cavity defined by the frame, and a structural adhesive. The structural adhesive may be disposed in at least one of: (A) an aperture located within the foam layer, and (B) an aperture located between the foam layer and a frame member. In some cases, a cured structural adhesive is located between connecting members of adjacent foam wall structures.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING AND INSTALLING MOULDINGS
20190358870 · 2019-11-28 ·

An apparatus for the in-situ formation of a moulding. The apparatus includes a forming head and a forming blade. The forming head has a body having a raw material receiver. The body further has one or more outlets to permit the movement of raw material from the raw material receiver through an outer surface of the body and into an area adjacent to a work surface when the forming head is positioned in proximity to the work surface. The forming blade is secured to the body and imparts a desired profile shape to raw material deposited adjacent to the work surface as the forming head is moved along the work surface.

Insulation and ventilation systems for building structures

One aspect of the invention relates to an insulation and ventilation system for a building envelope (e.g. a building wall and/or a building roof). The system includes: one or more interior building envelope layers; an insulation panel having an interior side abutting against at least one of the one or more interior building envelope layers and an exterior side having a plurality of transversely spaced and continuously longitudinally extending grooves interspaced between a plurality of transversely spaced and continuously longitudinally extending protrusions; and one or more exterior building envelope layers located exterior to the insulation panel to provide a plurality of transversely localized venting channels defined at least in part by an interior surface of the one or more exterior building envelope layers and the grooves of the exterior side of the insulation panel.

Insulation wire mounting system

An insulation mounting system utilizing a thermal break consisting of radiused and/or straight channels, slots and holes for the purpose of mounting specially shaped formed wire to hold-in-place rigid insulation installed onto walls of buildings. A structural clip for further positioning, holding, bending and/or directing the same formed wire shapes. A sub-girt that attaches to the structural clips vertically or horizontally as needed, a wire bending tool for use at intermediate formed wire locations between assembled thermal clips, and an anti-reversal clip with bendable attachment arm for holding other building materials if needed. Multiple alternate embodiments for the thermal break, formed wires and structural clips show that there's an almost a limitless amount of variations that a person skilled in the art could imagine and not exceed the scope of the application.
