Tower element with platform and fixation element
There is presented a tower element, such as a tower element for a tower for a wind turbine generator, said tower element comprising a hollow, tubular element, a flange on an inside surface of the hollow, tubular shell, a unit comprising a platform and a fixation element, such as a plurality of fixation elements, attached to the platform, wherein the unit is arranged with respect to the flange, so that the flange prevents movement of the platform in both directions along an axis being parallel with an axis of the tubular element, and movement of the platform is allowed in at least one direction along an axis being orthogonal to the axis of the tubular element. There is furthermore presented a tower, a wind turbine generator and a method for providing a tower element.
Roof structure including panels and substructure for supporting panels
An outdoor building includes a plurality of vertical posts and a roof structure. The roof structure includes a substructure, a pair of side panels, and a pair of end panels. The substructure is coupled with the vertical posts via post brackets. The pair of side panels and the pair of end panels are coupled with the substructure. A method is also provided.
SLIDE CLIP
A slide clip includes a first plate and a second plate coupled at a juncture. The first plate and the second plate form an angle at the juncture. The second plate has a first elongated slot, a second elongated slot, and a third elongated slot, each extending parallel with the juncture. The first elongated slot and the second elongated slot are each offset from the juncture a first distance. The third elongated slot is offset from the juncture a second distance that is greater than the first distance.
Pultruded Fiber Reinforced Polymer Building Systems and Methods
A pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) floor assembly comprises a plurality of PFRP trusses or joists connected to at least one horizontal PFRP I-beam, horizontal PFRP wide flange beam, or horizontal PFRP “C” channel. At least one PFRP clip angle bracket connects the plurality of PFRP trusses or joists to support PFRP floor sheathing. A flexible epoxy bonds the PFRP floor sheathing to the plurality of PFRP trusses or joists, horizontal PFRP I-beams, horizontal PFRP wide flange beams, or horizontal PFRP “C” channels. The flexible epoxy is configured to provide a uniform coefficient of thermal expansion throughout the PFRP floor assembly.
WOOD MOUNTING SYSTEM
Screwing into wood with any sized screw can result in the wood becoming split. The wood can be pre-drilled to reduce the risk of splitting; however, if the pre-drilled hole is too small the wood is still relatively likely to split, whereas if the hole is too big the retaining force of the screw may be reduced significantly. The present invention provides an attachment apparatus for enabling a bolt to be secured to substrate that is susceptible to fracturing, the apparatus comprising: a plate 41 with a plurality of openings 42 therethrough, wherein each opening 42 is configured to receive a fixing member, and wherein the plate 41 includes a plate orifice 43 therethrough; and a receiving member 44 fixedly secured to the plate 41, the receiving member 44 having a cavity with an aperture 45 at one end that at least partially overlaps the plate orifice 43, wherein the receiving member 44 is configured to receive and retain a corresponding bolt such that the corresponding bolt is also disposed within the aperture 45, cavity and the plate orifice 43. In this way, the risk of fracturing a substrate susceptible to fracturing is reduced when securing a bolt thereto.
Roof mounting system
A roof mount assembly mounts a structure to a roof having a rafter and a substrate supported by the rafter. The roof mount assembly includes a piece of flashing positioned on the substrate. The flashing includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface and an aperture extending through the flashing. A fastener extends through the flashing aperture. A bracket is connected to the flashing via the fastener, and the bracket is sized to support at least one roof-mounted structure on the roof. A seal is positioned between the flashing aperture and the fastener. The seal is sized to form a water-tight seal with the aperture to inhibit flow of fluid through the aperture. The seal includes a first portion and a second portion, in which the first portion is positioned to abut the flashing first surface and the second portion is positioned to extend through the aperture.
BUILDING
A building includes a floor located between an upper floor and a lower floor. The floor includes first floor extending members and second floor extending members that intersect the first floor extending members. The first floor extending members and the second floor extending members are made of wood. A reinforcement member is arranged in at least one of a section between two of the first floor extending members and a section between two of the second floor extending members.
Universal seat plate mounting brackets
A universal seat plate mounting bracket assembly that includes a mounting bracket having a back plate and a knife plate, and a seat pad. The back plate has transversely z spaced first and second major surfaces. The knife plate has laterally y spaced first and second major surfaces and a proximal transverse z end affixed to the first major surface of the back plate. The seat pad is configured and arranged for repositionable fixed attachment atop the upper longitudinal x edge of the knife plate at one of a plurality of selective transverse z distances from the back plate. The seat pad includes a seat plate with first and second major surfaces longitudinally x spaced from one another when the seat pad is attached atop the upper edge of the knife plate.
Building construction system
A building construction system (2) for construction of a building (20) is disclosed. The building construction system (2) comprises a plurality of modules (M.sub.1, M.sub.2, M.sub.3, M.sub.4, M.sub.5, M.sub.6, M.sub.7, M.sub.8, M.sub.9, M.sub.10, M.sub.11), each comprising at least one centrally arranged insulation member (4, 4′) sandwiched between a first cover plate (12, 12′) and a second cover plate (14, 14′). The at least one insulation member (4, 4′) is made in polyurethane (PUR) or polyisocyanurate (PIR). A reinforcement connection structure (10) extends between and is mechanically connected to opposite cover plates (12, 12′, 14, 14′).
