BRACKET ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER BRACKET HAVING A BACKER AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
20230134969 · 2023-05-04 ·

A bracket assembly comprising a bracket member, and a backer. The bracket member comprises a plurality of fibers contained within a resin matrix. The at least one bracket member includes a body wall and at least one end wall oriented one of oblique and perpendicular to the body wall along at a first end thereof. The bracket member defines a bracket member stiffness. The backer is positioned over a portion of at least one of an inner surface and an outer surface of the at least one end wall. The backer comprises a metal member, and the backer defining a backer stiffness. The bracket member stiffness is between two and twenty times greater than the backer stiffness.

STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY USING DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT ANCHORS
20220403646 · 2022-12-22 ·

A structural assembly, preferably for creation of a firewall, is constructed using anchors attached to at least a first structure and a concrete wall. Preferably, the concrete wall is also attached to a second structure as well. The body of the anchors is fabricated from a material that fails at a temperature in excess of 1,000° F. A fastening member, preferably a grommet assembly, is positioned in an elongate slot for connecting the first face to the first structure and for sliding engagement within the elongate slot in response to relative movement of the first structure and/or the second structure and the attached concrete wall.

Drop-in ceiling wall system
11795683 · 2023-10-24 · ·

A system and method for building a solid wall with a drop-in ceiling includes a floor track to be secured on a base floor. A support structure of studs is to be secured to the floor track. Cornice rails are to be placed on top of the studs. Splice plates are to connect ends of the cornice rails together. A top cladding is to be installed to at least a portion of the studs at a fixed distance below the top of the studs. The top cladding is to be installed prior to the cornice rails being secured to the top of the studs. Ceiling mounts are to be installed on top of the cladding in a manner that provides equal spacing reveals between the ceiling mounts and the cladding. Splice plates are to connect ends of the ceiling mounts together. A secondary cladding is to be installed to the studs. To complete the wall system, a drop-in ceiling is secured on top of the ceiling mounts.

Relating to connection of structural components to panels

There is disclosed a method of forming a connection between a structural component and a panel, the panel comprising a substrate and a load-resistant covering over either or each side of the substrate, the method comprising securing a connector to the component and panel such that the connector engages at least one said covering and the component so as to direct, to the covering(s) engaged thereby, loading exerted by the component.

Staircase Cassette Ledger Connector
20230366196 · 2023-11-16 ·

A connector that allows for the connection of a supported member to a supporting member and the supported member can be part of a prefabricated member such as a cassette, the connector having front and back members connected by a seat member.

BRACING ACCESSORY
20230340776 · 2023-10-26 ·

A bracing accessory adapted to attach at least one insulating product onto a wall surface to be lined, includes a rod, a first end of which is adapted to be attached to a structural element of the wall, and a second end of which is adapted to pass through the insulating product and a sealing membrane.

Girder tie
11821199 · 2023-11-21 · ·

A girder tie for connecting a building component to a rigid rod to resist uplift forces applied to the building component comprises a connector including a building component connector and a rigid rod connector coupled to the building component connector. The rigid rod connector attaches to the rigid rod. The building component connector includes first and second back flanges free of direct connection to one another. The first and second back flanges can each be attached to the building component. A washer is disposed between the rigid rod connector and a nut on the rigid rod that secures the rigid rod to the girder tie. The washer includes at least one back flange brace to inhibit the first and second back flanges from moving relative to one another when the building component experiences the uplift forces.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CONSTRUCTING HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS
20230374775 · 2023-11-23 · ·

Embodiments are directed to a lock for securing a structural assembly having a primary beam for constructing a core-supported high-rise building, and a building core wall defining an outer face. The lock includes a fixed bracket that couples to the primary beam of the structural assembly, a structural pin, a moveable component connected to the fixed bracket by the structural pin, and a recessed pocket embedded in the building core wall. The moveable component defines a bearing surface that contacts the outer face of the building core wall during the raising of the structural assembly. The recessed pocket receives the moveable component of the locking device when the structural assembly reaches one of the predetermined positions. The moveable component automatically engages with and disengages from the recessed pocket as the structural assembly rises, enabling temporary support and securement of the structural assembly at the predetermined positions during construction.
