The top plate portion 20 extends from the first end portion 13 of the fixed plate portion 10 on the second surface side. The partition plate portion 30 extends from the top plate portion 20 in a direction from the first end portion toward the second end portion of the fixed plate portion 10. The bottom plate portion 40 extends from the partition plate portion 30 in a direction away from the fixed plate portion 10. The front plate portion 50 extends from the bottom plate portion 40 in a direction from the second end portion toward the first end portion of the fixed plate portion 10. The first baffle plate portion 61 extends from the front plate portion 50 to the partition plate portion 30 side. The bottom plate portion 40 has a first hole 42. A wall material construction structure Y1 according to the present invention includes such a ventilation member X.

Ventilating sill plate

There is provided a ventilating sill plate for elevating a wall portion from a receiving surface. The ventilating sill plate comprises at least one longitudinal base having a first and a second face opposite the first face extending along a longitudinal axis, the first and the second face extending laterally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis between a first and a second lateral side. A plurality of longitudinally spaced support legs extend away from the second face and define at least one ventilating channel extending from the first to the second lateral side of the at least one longitudinal base. A plurality of support pads project from the first face and collaborate for supporting the wall portion. A plurality of longitudinally spaced arms are shaped and sized to receive the wall portion therebetween.

PANEL FOR SHEATHING SYSTEM AND METHOD

The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.

A method of manufacturing a roofing membrane includes providing a waterproof membrane having a top major surface and applying a protective coating directly to the top major surface of the waterproof membrane without the use of an adhesive. The protective coating is configured to be removed from the top major surface.

Reinforced floors for modular bathrooms

Reinforced floor components of prefabricated bathroom pods. The floor components are reinforced and integrated into bathroom pods or other building units in such a manner as to add significant strength to the bathroom pods to resist bending, twisting and sagging, and/or to aid in lifting and supporting the weight of the bathroom pods, and thereby add to the structural integrity of the prefabricated bathroom pods to which they are attached.

A stanchion surrounding assembly includes a first plate that has a first recess integrated into a first engaging edge of the first plate. The first recess accommodates a stanchion to inhibit vegetation from growing around the stanchion. A second plate has a second recess integrated into a second engaging edge of the second plate. The second recess accommodates the stanchion to inhibit vegetation from growing around the stanchion. The second plate engages the first plate when the first plate and the second plate are positioned against the stanchion. In this way each of the first plate and the second plate forms a disk surrounding the stanchion.

In an embodiment, a multifunctional material system is provided and can include a variable-permeability layer, a desiccant containing layer, and a vapor-permeable supporting layer. The variable-permeability layer can have a vapor permeability that increases with increasing relative humidity. The desiccant containing layer can be adjacent the variable-permeability layer. The vapor-permeable supporting layer can be positioned adjacent at least one of the variable-permeability layer and the desiccant containing layer. Water moves in a first direction from the variable-permeability layer to the desiccant layer when relative humidity is greater adjacent the variable-permeability layer than the desiccant layer. Water moves a second, opposing direction, from the desiccant containing layer to the variable-permeability layer when the relative humidity is greater adjacent the desiccant containing layer than the variable-permeability layer. The rate of water motion in the first direction is greater than the second direction when the humidity gradient is reversed.
