Pole Shield
The present disclosure relates to a pole shield for extending around a pole structure. The pole shield comprises one or more than one sheet of composite material forming a hollow structure having an open first end and an opposed open second end. The sheet or sheets of composite material comprise from about 50% to about 80% by weight of a reinforcement impregnated with about 20% to about 50% of a polyurethane resin composition comprising a combination of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. Two or more pole shields may be stacked one on top of the other to form a pole shield structure which extends the height of protection of the pole structure. The pole shield can be used for protecting a pole structure from damage, such as from fire, rain, wind, sand, ice, pests, moisture or electrical. The pole shield may also be used to provide structural support to a pole structure.
Barrier System
A barrier system includes a substantially vertical structure with a coating layer disposed on and circumscribing a majority of the substantially vertical structure. The coating layer has a height of at least 0.25 inches, has a dried film thickness of at least 5 mils, and has an average surface roughness (R.sub.a) of less than 10 microns.
Imaging Array for Bird or Bat Detection and Identification
An automated system for mitigating risk from a wind farm. The automated system may include an array of a plurality of image capturing devices independently mounted in a wind farm. The array may include a plurality of low resolution cameras and at least one high resolution camera. The plurality of low resolution cameras may be interconnected and may detect a spherical field surrounding the wind farm. A server is in communication with the array of image capturing devices. The server may automatically analyze images to classify an airborne object captured by the array of image capturing devices in response to receiving the images.

Method for stopping swimming or crawling of adhesion-stage larvae
The present invention provides a method of stopping larvae of sessile invertebrates in the settlement stage from swimming or crawling in water, by irradiating light comprising the spectrum of 409 to 412 nm and a part of 400 to 440 nm, to the larvae in the settlement stage.

Method for killing Pteriomorphia and barnacles using light irradiation
The present invention provides a method of killing larvae of sessile invertebrates in the settlement stage in water, comprising the step of irradiating light comprising the spectrum of 409 to 412 nm, to the larvae in the settlement stage.

Termite preferred resource compositions and methods
The present invention relates to termite preferred resource compositions and methods. In embodiments, the present invention is directed to termite preferred resource compositions including materials from a Sabal palm tree material (Sabalpalmetto; Family Arecaceae) and a pesticide toxic to one or more species of termites. In additional embodiment's, the present invention is directed to a method of creating a termite assurance program to limit termite damage to a structure including the steps of providing an initial investigation of termite detection, damage, or activity for a structure; placing a termite station comprising a housing, at least one entry point in the housing allowing for ingress and egress of a termite, and materials from a Sabal palm tree contained within the housing in an area proximate the structure, and inspecting the termite station for live termites or evidence of termite activity after it is placed.
