The present disclosure relates more particularly to a baffle for a building surface. The baffle includes an elongate body extending along an axis from a first end to a second end. The elongate body has a depth including a narrow portion that extends away from the axis along a first direction and a wide portion. The wide portion includes first and second projections that extend laterally outward from the first direction. The baffle also includes a first aperture extending into the first end of the elongate body along the axis and a second aperture extending into the second end of the elongate body along the axis.

Sound insulation apparatus

In the sound insulation apparatus, a sound wave transmitter configured to transmit sound waves with frequencies including the frequencies of propagation sound waves from a sound source and a sound wave receiver configured to receive the sound waves transmitted from the sound wave transmitter are coupled such that the orientation of a sound wave transmission surface of the sound wave transmitter and the orientation of a sound wave receiving surface of the sound wave receiver intersect each other and one pair set is formed. The one pair set is disposed in plurality such that the sound wave transmission surface of one set is spaced from and opposed to the sound wave receiving surface of another set and a space surrounding the sound source is formed. The sound waves transmitted from each of the sound wave transmitters are mixed with the propagation sound waves.

Acoustic absorber for bass frequencies
11655632 · 2023-05-23 ·

An acoustic absorber includes a chamber formed from walls with a resistive portion providing the only communication between the chamber volume and ambient air. In some examples chamber walls enable selection or adjustment of chamber volume or resistive area, thereby altering the acoustic absorption spectrum below 250 Hz. In some examples the chamber volume contains fibrous filler material exhibiting no airflow resistance or acoustic absorption. Density and heat capacity of the fibrous filler material results in the chamber volume exhibiting compressibility of air within the chamber, for at least acoustic frequencies up to about 50 Hz, that is larger than adiabatic compressibility of air. That larger compressibility results in an increased acoustic absorption coefficient, for at least acoustic frequencies up to about 50 Hz, 50% to 100% larger than that of an identical chamber entirely characterized by the adiabatic compressibility of air.

Soundproofing control system, soundproofing control device, soundproofing control method, and program

To improve soundproofing performance of a soundproofing wall constituted by wall members overlapping with a hollow portion therebetween. A resonance state of an outer wall member of a soundproofing wall which includes an inner wall member on the side of a sound generation source, an outer wall member outwards from the inner wall member with respect to a position of the generation source, and a hollow portion which is provided between the inner wall member and the outer wall member is detected. A pressure of the hollow portion is adjusted so that the resonance state is a minimum based on adjustment of the pressure of the hollow portion.
