Fire-rated joint system
A fire-rated angle piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated angle piece, in which the angle piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The angle can be attached adjacent to a corner of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the angle piece.
FIRE-RATED JOINT SYSTEM

A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the angle piece.
BULGE NOTCH CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to a building construction using bulge notch connectors located within a wall cavity at the top and bottom end of metal framing members as well as through the holes in the metal forming members. The spacing-bracing members connecting the metal framing members have bulges, bulge notches, lips and lip notches in the spacing-bracing members and the holes securing the spacing bracing members have notches to secure framing members together. The holes can have holes notches or hole bulges to connect the bulges and bulge notches to connect metal framing components together. The longitudinal ends of the spacing-bracing members can have hook tongues with adjoining members having receiver holes for the tongue portion to fit into.
Metal framing connections between members
The self-locking metal framing connections between support members and the crossing longitudinal spacing-bracing members can occur at the hole, at the top and bottom ends of the support members as well as the end-to-end connections between longitudinal spacing-bracing members. Connecting the hook tab with a notched-tab to a receiver hole in the adjacent web allows the longitudinal spacer brace to pivot horizontally and if the hook tongue with the notched tab and the receiver hole are in the flanges, the spacer braces can pivot vertically. Short longitudinal spacer braces with receiver holes and hook tongues with notched-tabs, key hole bendable tabs, different shaped spacer braces, different variations in the hole notches, notched tabs in the hole bottom edge, diagonal framing between holes and longitudinal spacing-bracing members having notched-tab receivers can be installed in the lip notches or the horizontal spacing-bracing member and/or into the slot holes of the flanges of another spacing-bracing member. Double lip flanges with notches at the end of the lips, bent upward or downward or having the notches penetrate both lips all adds strength. Additional configurations showing bent webs, bent flanges and bent lips to form curved longitudinal spacing-bracing members. The notched-tab can also be installed in the support member allowing the notched-tab to be installed through slot holes at the flanges or web to secure the spacer brace to the support members which is ideal for fabricating metal framing in a horizontal position then installed vertically.
MULTI-LAYER FIRE-RATED JOINT COMPONENT
An improved fire-blocking gasket profile for a fire-rated joint, such as a head-of-wall assembly. Fire-rated joints are aimed at inhibiting or preventing fire, heat, or smoke from leaving one portion of a building and entering another portion of a building. Fire-rated joints can also accommodate movement between adjacent building structures, such as between a ceiling and the top of a wall. The improved fire-blocking gasket profile includes a first layer formed of an intumescent material, a second layer formed of a foil lining and a third layer formed of the vinyl profile. The vinyl profile includes an air gap with the intumescent material positioned therein. A vertical portion of the vinyl profile is positioned between a header track and a wallboard in the fire-rated joint. A horizontal portion of the vinyl profile is positioned at least partially within a deflection gap and sealingly engages with the ceiling.
METAL FRAMING CONNECTOR
The present invention relates to a metal framing connector spanning between support members secured by having web-flange notches engaging the aperture of support members or where adjacent connectors overlap web-flange notches by changing the connector widths or where the connector has added lips with lip notches to engage the support members or where the flange-notches can have a continuous web notch engage the aperture bottom edge or where one end of the connector has a web extension with hook tongue for tongue end to engage a hole receiver in the web of an adjacent connector or where the aperture bottom edge projects and extends into the continuous web notch or where hole notches or hole projections will hold the connector from moving horizontally or vertically within the apertures.

Structural barrier and related method of use
An elongated structural barrier is provided including a base, a first panel extending upward from the base, a first sealer wall extending downward and transversely to the base, a second panel joined with the first panel and extending upwardly, a lower wedge extending upward from the base adjacent the first sealer wall, and a core compartment bounded by the lower wedge and the panels, with an open face defined above the lower wedge and offering a view into the core compartment. The lower wedge can include a flange to produce a first cavity of the compartment, in which an intumescent core can be positioned and configured to expand into a second cavity of the compartment when it swells. A second flange can oppose the first flange to further secure the core in the first cavity, and can form a bloom gap therebetween. A related method of use also is provided.
Wall framing for vertical deflection
A structure and associated methodology for framing a wall having top and bottom runners supporting respective opposing ends of each of a plurality of upright studs. The top runner has a planar base and a track extending from the base and forming therewith an enclosure configured to operably capture top ends of the studs and compensate for vertical deflection. The track defines a laterally-directed slot configured for installing a fastener through to connect to the stud inside the enclosure. The track further defines indicia visually presenting a conformance-comparison of each stud's length to a predetermined threshold before the fastener is installed, the threshold related to a predetermined operable clearance between each stud's end and the base inside the enclosure.
