INTERIOR FLANGE FOR SLIDE-ROOM
An assembly for sealing a space between a secondary structure movable into and out of a primary structure includes a base member mountable to an outer surface of the secondary structure and a flange member. The flange member includes a main flange portion and a coupling portion extending from the main flange portion. The main flange portion includes a first portion and a second portion. The second portion is on the opposite side of the coupling portion from the first portion. The coupling portion is couplable to the base member such that the first portion is adjacent a rear wall of the secondary structure and the second portion extends beyond the outer surface of the secondary structure when the coupling portion is coupled to the base member. The second portion is configured to engage an interior surface of the primary structure when the secondary structure is in the extended position.
Retractable angled roof for fast installation and shipment
A retractable roof construction can be manufactured in a factory and quickly deployed when assembling the house. The retractable roof can be made in parts and assembled into its compact formation whilst in the factory. This compact formation reduces space occupied in shipment, reducing the overall cost. When the compact formation roof is on a construction site, the roof can expand on both sides and be raised in the middle to provide an angle to protect against the rain. The expending process can be automated for reducing labor used in the construction. When compared to traditional roof construction, the retractable roof construction allows fast installation as well as reduced cost, both in shipping and labor.
CONVERTIBLE ENCLOSURE
A movable enclosure is configured to selectively enclose an area. The enclosure includes at least one side wall and an end wall attached thereto. The side wall comprises a number of individual panels that are independently movable along a track secured to the ground. The panels are selectively collapsible such that they may travel along the track and overlap one another when in a collapsed or stowed position. The enclosure may be configured in any number of intermediate positions wherein the panels are partially collapsed. Roof panels may be attached to the side walls for movement therewith, or alternatively, the roof panels may operate independent of the side walls to extend and retract between an open and collapsed configuration.
SLAT FOR A SLATTED ROOF OR A SLATTED WINDOW, AND A SLATTED ROOF OR SLATTED WINDOW HAVING SUCH A SLAT
The invention relates to a slat (1) or a slatted roof (20) or a slatted window, comprising a light-permeable sheet-like covering element (2) having a longitudinal extent and width (b), wherein the width (b) is less than the or extent, and having an axis of rotation (5) which runs along the longitudinal extent of the slat (1) in order to pivot the slat (1) between a closed position and an open position, in order to allow a particularly flexible variation of the incoming sunlight entering a room (22) situated below the slatted roof (20) and in order to be able to set the desired temperature, climate control and brightness conditions in the room in a targeted manner, it is proposed that the slat (1) has at least one light-impermeable sheet-like shading element (6) having a longitudinal extent and a width (h), in which the shading element extends with the longitudinal extent thereof along the longitudinal extent of the covering element (2), that it is arranged with a first longitudinal side (6a) on the covering element (2) and projects with a second longitudinal side (6b), opposite the first longitudinal side (6a), from the covering element (2), wherein the at least one shading element (6) is arranged in the areal extent thereof at an angle () to the areal extent of the covering element (2). Folded Dome Like Retractable Opening Structure And Method
A Folded Dome like Retractable Opening Structure and Method of the present invention is an hourglass in external appearance with a narrow waist and a mirrored double truncated flexible cone-like structure, with one primary truncated flexible cone-like structure on bottom intermediately supported and connected by one secondary truncated flexible cone-like structure on top. The retractable opening of the present invention is the truncated open end of the primary truncated flexible cone-like structure, where it is flexible to expand to open toward and contract to close away from its peripheral. In operation, the double truncated flexible cone-like structure is a slider crank mechanism, where, power is applied to the secondary truncated flexible cone-like structure, the slider, which moves vertically; the primary truncated flexible cone-like structure, the crank, is rotated; and rotation of the primary truncated flexible cone-like structure forces its truncated open end, same as the retractable opening of the present invention, to uniformly move inward to close and outward to open. A Folded Dome like Retractable Opening Structure is especially suitable for expansive retractable roofs on domed structures often found on a sports stadium.
Console for retractable roofs and facades
The invention relates to a console with the aid of which large roofs and facade elements can be horizontally or vertically retracted.
Removable roofing system comprising a compensation device
Removable roofing system comprising a motor inserted inside a drum (2), a cord, a compensation device (4), two rigging rails (5a, 5b), at least one guide arch (6a) and removable roofing, the at least one guide arch (6a) being connected to the cord and to the removable roofing, and being designed so that each of its ends slides in a rigging rail (5a, 5b), the cord passing along each rigging rail (5a, 5b) and through the compensation device (4) and being connected at its two ends to the drum (2) so that the rotating of the drum (2) by the motor causes the cord to move in a direction dependent on the direction of rotation of the drum (2), deploying or retracting the removable roofing by moving the at least one guide arch (6a), each rigging rail (5a, 5b) being equipped with at least one end pulley (21a, 21b) and with at least two corner-block deflecting pulleys (20a, 20b, 23a, 23b) which are designed to guide the cord from the compensation device towards the at least one end pulley (21a, 21b), and the compensation device (4) is designed to automatically compensate for variations in cord tension.
Roof construction for a terrace canopy, kit of parts for assembling the roof construction, and terrace canopy comprising the roof construction
A roof construction comprises a frame that has a transverse direction, a longitudinal direction, an inside and outside; a roof construction formed by a plurality of mutually parallel transverse elements positioned on the inside of the frame, wherein each transverse element has a support element and a slat, wherein the slat is rotatably attached to a corresponding support element, wherein the support elements are attached to the frame; displacement elements for shifting the support elements in the longitudinal direction between a spread out position and a stacked positions; and a plurality of cable guides that are attached between two successive transverse elements and together form a part of a cable guide for guiding a cable from the frame to at least one of the transverse elements. Thus, the electrical components are integrated into and/or attached to the transverse elements with power and the roof cover is formed of rigid elements.
Roof-mounted emergency beacon
A roof-mounted emergency beacon used to alert emergency responders and observers of the location of an emergency. The beacon is activated by a smoke alarm, burglar alarm, or medical emergency alarm. Upon activation, the beacon light flashes, and the beacon extends to increase visibility. The beacon illuminates different colors to indicate different types of emergencies. Upon deactivation, the beacon lowers to return to the stowed position.
