Translucent ceiling or wall panel
A ceiling panel according to the present invention has opposed translucent membranes secured in a tensioned state across a perimeter frame. The frame includes frame members that are designed to oppose inward bowing of the perimeter frame caused by the tensioned membranes. The frame members have a side profile shaped to conceal a grid support network with the lower translucent member extending across and about a lower edge of the perimeter frame. The invention also includes a modified structure for supporting of translucent panels below a grid network.
CEILING SYSTEMS
A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid comprised of a plurality of intersecting grid support members and a ceiling tile mountable to the grid. Retaining clips support the ceiling tile from the grid which may be concealed from view. The retaining clips each include a cavity that receives a grid support member and a pair of resilient mounting elements configured to lockingly engage a support member. The mounting elements are laterally movable in response to inserting the support member into the cavity of the retaining clip. In one embodiment, the movable elements include locking tabs which create a snap-fit interlock with the grid support member for securing the ceiling tile to the grid.
Roof Deck
Decking with a panel of uniform thickness sheet metal has a repeating pattern of top flanges and bottom flanges connected by webs therebetween. At least one flange is made up of a plurality of folded-layer segments adjacent to each other in a stacked position to increase the thickness of the flange. Additionally a structural member extending along a longitudinal axis has a uniform thickness plate folded back onto itself about the longitudinal axis or an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis to increase the thickness and provide greater resistance to buckling in response to compressive forces. Such structural members not only provides certain structural advantages but also may provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
MULTI-LAYER ACOUSTICAL BUILDING PANELS
The present invention is directed to an acoustic ceiling panel having a first major exposed surface opposite a second major exposed surface, the acoustic ceiling panel comprising: a first layer having an upper surface opposite a lower surface, the first layer comprising: a first body comprising a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, the first body being air-permeable; and a first attenuation coating applied to the first body; a second layer having an upper surface opposite a lower surface, the second layer comprising: a second body comprising a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, the second body being air-permeable; and a second attenuation coating applied to the second body; and an adhesive present between the first and second layers.
Longspan Stay-in-Place Liners
A structure-lining apparatus comprising a plurality of transversely and longitudinally extending panels connectable to a structure and connectable edge-to-edge via complementary connector components on their longitudinally extending edges. Each panel comprises transversely extending edges generally orthogonal to their longitudinally extending edges. Each panel comprises first and second complementary connector components on first and second longitudinally extending edges thereof. The apparatus comprises at least one edge-to-edge connection between a first connector component of a first panel and a second connector component of a second panel wherein a primary male connector component of the second connector component of the second panel is extended into a primary female connector component of the first connector component of the first panel and a secondary male connector component of the first connector component of the first panel is extended into a secondary female connector component of the second connector component of the second panel.
Ceiling system
A ceiling system, a ceiling panel, and a method of covering a ceiling support with a plurality of ceiling panels. In one aspect, the invention may be a ceiling system comprising: a plurality of ceiling panels, each of the ceiling panels comprising: an upper face; a lower face opposite the upper face; a first edge, a second edge, a third edge opposite the first edge, and a fourth edge opposite the second edge; each of the first and second edges comprising a tongue; and each of the third and fourth edges comprising a groove; and a plurality of alignment clips, each of the alignment clips comprising a cruciform rib element.
Monolithic ceiling system
Described herein is a method for forming a monolithic surface in a ceiling system, the method comprising overlapping a first facing sheet and a second facing sheet to create an overlap region, each of the first and second facing sheets having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, wherein the lower surface of the first facing sheet contacts the upper surface of the second facing sheet within the overlap region, and running a blade of a cutting tool along the overlap region such that the blade extends through the first and second facing sheets at a cutting angle that is oblique to the first major surface of the first facing sheet within the overlap region.
Method for mounting a stretched flexible covering on a mounting frame and mounting frame for implementing said method
A mounting frame (100) which can be attached to a ceiling (3) and comprises an assembly of basic profiles (10) comprising a housing (14) for receiving an edge of a covering (1) and a plurality of V-shaped or U-shaped locking clips (50) designed to enter the receiving housing (14) and remain therein in a locked position in which the edge of the covering (1) is clamped between the locking clip (50) and the housing (14). Each locking clip (50) is interposed between an insertion tool and the covering (1) and facilitates the insertion of the covering (1) into the receiving housing (14) without damaging the covering (1). The covering (1), with dimensions greater than those of the frame, can thus be completely removed and reused since the covering has not been damaged in any way, either while the covering (1) is being fitted or while being held in place.
Ceiling tile with integrated lighting and ceiling system
The present disclosure relates generally to a ceiling tile, for example, suitable for use in a ceiling grid. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a ceiling tile including a light housing extending across a first portion of a width of the ceiling tile, and a panel extending across a remaining portion of the width of the ceiling tile.
Framed Acoustic Panel and Method of Manufacture
The present disclosure relates generally to acoustic panels, for example, suitable for acoustic ceiling surfaces. The present disclosure relates more particularly to acoustic panels that include a panel body (e.g., comprising fiberglass, or having an NRC value in the range of at least 0.5, e.g., 0.5-0.95 or 0.5-0.9) and a perimeter frame extending around a side edge of the panel body. The perimeter frame includes a plurality of frame members including a first frame member and a second frame member. A first adhesive bonds the frame members to the panel body. A second adhesive with a shorter working time may also bond the frame members to the panel body. In addition, or alternatively, a bracket that couples the frame members to one another includes a sharp projection that hinders removal of the bracket from the frame members once assembled. These aspects allow the acoustic panel to be handled before the first adhesive is cured.
