Cushioning preform for flooring
The cushioning preform comprises two layers of foam material, e.g. polyethylene foam, laminated together in a laterally offset relation to one another, with or without a polyethylene film therebetween. Each of the foam layers is of rectangular cross-section has a surface section of greater density than the remaining section thereof. Rolls of the preform may be unrolled into a flattened condition on a substrate, such as a concrete floor, with a stepped edge of each unrolled preform overlaid by an adjacent unrolled preform and adhered thereto by a glue on the stepped edge.
INTEGRATED CEILING AND LIGHT SYSTEM
An integrated ceiling and light system that incorporates a light module into a ceiling tile. The system may include an acoustic ceiling tile and a light module magnetically coupled to the acoustic ceiling tile.
LUMINAIRE STRUCTURES
A luminaire module includes a support structure configured for an overhead or region of a defined space suitable to support the luminaire module. The support structure may support a plurality of panels with each defining an illuminatable presentation surface, the plurality including at least one first panel including a first peripheral region. The first panel may be inclined at a first angle of less than 90 degrees from a first reference plane, and one or more second panels, each of which being oriented to be upright at a second angle of less than 90 degrees from a second reference plane. The luminaire module may be configured to be assembled in an array with the presentation surfaces in the array providing a composite image in three dimensions formed by a plurality of image segments provided by the presentation surfaces of the modules in the array.
Ceiling panel system with wireless control of connected lighting modules
A ceiling panel system includes a panel assembly having a ceiling surface and first and second conductive structures spaced from each other and a first application module configured to engage one of a plurality of locations disposed over the ceiling surface. The first application module includes a wireless receiver, a first contact configured to engage the first conductive structure, and a second contact configured to engage the second conductive structure. The first conductive structure delivers power to the application module. The system also includes a second application module configured to engage a different one of the plurality of locations. The first application module is configured to receive at the wireless receiver wireless commands, and, responsive to receiving wireless commands at the wireless receiver, the first application module transmits the received commands over the first conductive structure to the second application module.
Acoustic systems for lighting in suspended ceilings
An acoustic housing, a light fixture, a suspended ceiling system, and a method of decreasing sound transfer from a light fixture in a suspended ceiling are disclosed. An acoustic hood for a light fixture in a suspended ceiling may include a partially enclosed space formed between a plurality of wall portions. A light fixture may include first and second layers that are coupled to one another and form a partially enclosed space. A suspended ceiling system may include the acoustic hood or light fixture. The method relates to disposing an acoustic housing spaced from the light fixture.
Composite Construction Panels and Applications Thereof
In one aspect, composite construction materials are described herein. In some embodiments, a composite construction panel comprises a substrate layer, a cover layer separated from the substrate layer by one or more spacers, and at least one mat disposed between the substrate layer and the cover layer, wherein the mat comprises at least one phase change material disposed in at least one phase change region.
Multifunctional water-borne high solids tile paint
Described herein is a coated building panel that comprises a side surface that is textured and exhibits a white and/or color. The building panel comprising an upper surface opposite a lower surface and a side surface extending between the upper surface and the lower surface, a coating applied to the side surface, the coating comprising an inorganic particle having a disk shape and an ionic dispersant comprising an ionic group that are present on a repeating unit and the ionic dispersant comprising at least two of the repeating units.
VOC AND ODOR REDUCING BUILDING PANELS
Described herein are methods of forming a VOC and odor-reducing building panel. The methods include providing a substrate; applying a wet-state coating to a major surface of the substrate, the wet-state coating comprising carrier comprising water; and drying the wet-state coating, thereby evaporating at least 95 wt. % of the carrier to form a dry-state coating.
Covering panel and process of producing covering panels
The present invention provides a covering panel, such as a floor panel, wall panel or ceiling panel, comprising at least one substrate and optionally a top layer, whereby said substrate comprises a synthetic material and at least one filler material. The at least one filler is present in an amount of at least 20.0 wt. % based on the weight of the substrate, and said filler material comprises at least 50 wt. % talc.
Building panel adapted to be mounted at a ceiling or wall of a room and method of manufacturing such building panel
The building panel (1) is adapted to be mounted at a ceiling or wall of a room so that a framework (2) of the building panel has a room-facing side (3) and a building-facing side (4). A textile (5) is extended over the room-facing side (3) of the framework (2) and has a first surface (6) facing the framework (2) and a second surface (7) generally visible from said room. A mesh (8) is laminated onto the first surface (6) of the textile (5) and is attached to the framework (2) by means of a number of connectors (9). Each connector (9) has a first end (10) in the form of a gripper inserted between a part of the mesh (8) and the textile (5) and a second end (13) attached to the framework (2).
