Provided is a ceiling tile coated on at least one surface with an acoustically transparent coating which creates pores at the tile surface and comprises a high Tg polymeric binder, titanium dioxide, and particles selected from the group consisting of void latex particles, hollow glass beads, calcium carbonate, calcium magnesium carbonate, calcined clay and any combination thereof. Compositions for acoustically transparent coatings and methods for making a substrate surface acoustically transparent are provided as well.

SOUND-ABSORBING DEVICE
20190390458 · 2019-12-26 ·

In a sound-absorbing device (1) which is suspended from ceilings (3) in rooms (2), comprising a frame (4) which is fastened at a distance from the ceiling (3) and parallel thereto, and at least one flat structure with sound-absorbing properties which is inlaid or inserted into the frame (4),
on the one hand a sound-absorbing property should be present as far as possible over the entire surface of the ceiling (3) and on the other hand sufficient illumination should be possible for the interior of the room. This is solved in accordance with the present invention by at least one intermediate space (11) being provided in the flat structure (5), by one or more lighting means (12) being arranged in the respective intermediate space (11), and by each of the lighting means (12) being locked to the frame (4) directly or by means of support elements (13).

Acoustic ceiling panel, method of manufacture and acoustic ceiling system

The present disclosure relates generally to acoustic panels, for example, suitable for use in a ceiling to control sound. The present disclosure relates more particularly to an acoustic ceiling panel including an acoustic substrate formed of a porous material having an air flow resistivity of at least 300 kPa*s/m.sup.2. The acoustic substrate includes an upper face and a lower face with a pattern of perforations formed therein, where the pattern of perforations covers at least 6% of the area of the lower face. The acoustic ceiling panel also includes a backing layer disposed over the upper face of the acoustic substrate and a veil disposed over the lower face.

Panel mounting system
11891805 · 2024-02-06 · ·

Disclosed is a system and method for mounting a panel (40) such as an acoustic panel, baffle or fin. The system for mounting the panel (40) can comprise an elongate member (12). A base (14) of the member (12) can be configured to enable it to be mounted with respect to a structure. Opposing sidewalls (13) of the member (12) can extend from the base (14) such that, in profile, the sidewalls define a neck portion (N) that extends to an enlarged head portion (H) of the member (12). The panel (40) can have a recess (42) formed in an edge thereof. The recess (42) can be configured to generally correspond to an external profile of the member (12). An inner recess portion (43) of the panel (40) can be enlarged to receive the member head portion (H), with an outer recess portion (45) being configured to receive the member neck portion (N). The outer recess portion (45) can open out of the panel edge such that, when the member (12) is located in the panel recess (42) it retains the panel (40) to the member (12).

Ceiling system

A ceiling system which includes support beams, elongated covers that at least partially cove the support beams, and baffles which attach to the support beams. The support beams may have a vertical web portion, a flange portion at a top end of the vertical web portion, and bulb portion at a bottom end of the vertical web portion. The elongated may have a cover body and a cover slot in a top surface of the cover body. The elongated covers may be mounted to the support beams so that the bulb portions of the support beams are located within the cover slots of the elongated covers. The baffles may extend between and be mounted to adjacent ones of the plurality of support beams so that the baffles extends into notches of the elongated covers and the bulb portions of the support beams are located within slots of the baffle.

ACOUSTIC SYSTEMS FOR LIGHTING IN SUSPENDED CEILINGS
20190368193 · 2019-12-05 ·

An acoustic housing, a light fixture, a suspended ceiling system, and a method of decreasing sound transfer from a light fixture in a suspended ceiling are disclosed. An acoustic hood for a light fixture in a suspended ceiling may include a partially enclosed space formed between a plurality of wall portions. A light fixture may include first and second layers that are coupled to one another and form a partially enclosed space. A suspended ceiling system may include the acoustic hood or light fixture. The method relates to disposing an acoustic housing spaced from the light fixture.

APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMIC ACOUSTIC CEILING SYSTEM AND METHODS THEREOF

An acoustic ceiling tile and a dynamic acoustic ceiling system that includes multiple ceiling tiles that can be quickly and easily installed onto ceiling structures utilizing attached or embedded magnetic assemblies to provide an aesthetically pleasing image, such as an fluctuating image, along with a reduction in unwanted noise or room acoustics, wherein the attached or embedded magnetic assemblies are configured to be removed from the ceiling tile, and then configured to be easily placed or located onto a different location on the ceiling tile as needed, to allow for optimal installation of the ceiling tile onto the ceiling structure.

Sound-permeable lining for acoustic plasterboards

Sound-permeable lining (1) for covering perforations (21) shaped in an acoustic plasterboard (2). The sound-permeable lining (1) comprises a first ply (12) of a fleece material and attached thereto a second ply (14) which is arranged in between of the first ply (12) and the acoustic plasterboard (2) to which the sound-permeable lining (1) is to be applied. The second ply (14) being of a foil material having a second opacity O.sub.2 and a plurality of through-holes (141) formed therein. The first ply (12) has a first opacity O.sub.1 so that the through-holes (141) formed in the second ply (14) are invisible through the first ply (12) and so that the applied sound-permeable lining (1) has an overall opacity O.sub.12 to allow for optically covering the perforations (21) shaped in the acoustic plasterboard (2) and an overall air flow resistivity R.sub.s12 to allow for the penetration of air so that sound can propagate via the sound-permeable lining (1).
