Recessed Mounting Apparatus
20200308831 · 2020-10-01 ·

Embodiments of the present invention provide a recessed mounting apparatus, a suspended ceiling and recessed mounting apparatus system, and a method of installing a recessed mounting apparatus. The recessed mounting apparatus includes a recessed mounting frame that forms a partially enclosed space with a lower perimeter defined by flanges configured to sit atop or otherwise connect with portions of a suspended ceiling frame. The recessed mounting apparatus includes or is attached to one or more attachment mechanisms from which equipment like temporary lighting, sound systems, and display projectors can be secured. To support the recessed mounting frame and attachment mechanism, one or more suspension support members are attached at a first end to the recessed mounting frame and at a second end to an overhead structural support.

An acoustical panel apparatus includes a laminate panel substrate that is receptive to ink printing operations. The substrate may be provided with folding grooves to form an apertured base, a sidewall, and an inner wall which together define a receptacle. An acoustical tuning body is positionable at the receptacle to attenuate at least one of sound transmissions and sound reflections from sound passing through the apertures in the base. A mounting bracket is attached to the panel to secure the acoustical tuning body at the receptacle and for mounting the panel substrate to a wall or ceiling.

SUSPENDED CEILING ARRANGEMENTS

Torsion spring ceiling grill
10516924 · 2019-12-24 ·

A torsion spring ceiling grill that is reconfigurable to adapt smoothly to various thicknesses of ceiling tiles. The ceiling tile has an opening to which a grill plate and a backing plate correspond. The grill plate attaches to the backing plate via the torsion springs, clamping the ceiling tile in between. The torsion spring assemblies can be reconfigured by repositioning an axle of each torsion spring assembly in its respective slot in vertical spring support panels of the grill plate. The torsion spring assemblies can be releasably secured at any position along the slot. The backing plate has spring-receiving openings on a top horizontal panel that extends out over the opening in the ceiling tile to receive arms of the torsion springs. Arms of the torsion springs may be bound by a severable connector which is severed by a blade above the top horizontal panel during installation.

CENTRALIZED APPLIANCE HUBS WITH IMPROVED ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE AND RELATED METHODS

The present technology is generally directed to centralized appliance hubs with enhanced acoustic performance and related methods. In at least some embodiments, an appliance hub includes a frame, one or more panels attached to the first side of the frame, and an insulating layer attached to the second side of the frame opposite the first side. The insulating layer can be tuned or otherwise configured to absorb and/or attenuate sound within a first frequency range, and all or a subset of the one or more panels can be configured to absorb and/or attenuate sound within a second frequency range different than the frequency range. In some embodiments, at least one of the panels may be made of a perforated metal having perforations arranged in a manner to attenuate sound within the predetermined frequency range.

Ceiling system

A ceiling system including a carrier component and at least one removably mounted thereto. The carrier component may extend along a first longitudinal axis and may have a body portion and a plurality of support members extending from the body portion in a spaced apart manner along the first longitudinal axis. The at least one panel may be removably mounted to the carrier component by simultaneous engagement with a first support member of the plurality of support members and a second support member of the plurality of support members. At least a portion of the first and second support members may be located within a cavity of the at least one panel when the at least one panel is mounted to the carrier component.
