Housing construction system
A wall surfacing system for providing a secondary ceiling or wall covering structure adjacent a primary structure. The system provides a plurality of elongated structural support rails, each of these support rails have a coupling web with a bearing surface for attachment to the primary structure, a coupling mechanism, and a portion integrally formed with and connecting the coupling web to the coupling mechanism. A plurality of generally planar surface panels are provided. Each panel has an integral interlocking member configured to mate with the coupling mechanism on the support rail. The elongated support rails are secured to primary structures, thereby extending the surface panels to form an aesthetically pleasing covered surface.
Suspension ceiling with parallel vanes for building structures
A suspended ceiling system for a building structure includes a plurality of parallel struts for supporting a plurality of parallel vanes suspended from the struts in perpendicular relationship thereto. The vanes can be suspended in downwardly spaced relationship to the struts or in contiguous relationship therewith and occur in different forms including illuminated vanes, adjustable vanes and the like.
Translucent ceiling or wall panel
A ceiling panel according to the present invention has opposed translucent membranes secured in a tensioned state across a perimeter frame. The frame includes frame members that are designed to oppose inward bowing of the perimeter frame caused by the tensioned membranes. The frame members have a side profile shaped to conceal a grid support network with the lower translucent member extending across and about a lower edge of the perimeter frame. The invention also includes a modified structure for supporting of translucent panels below a grid network.
Ceiling beam grid
A ceiling beam grid is an open grid constructed from beams of a few standard sizes that are connected together by connection blocks at the intersections of the beams. The connection blocks are suspended from the structural ceiling of the room by means of an anchor and hanger and are spaced in a grid pattern to accommodate the standard size beams between adjacent connection blocks. The standard size beams are then attached to and supported between the connection blocks. The beams are connected to the connection blocks by a vertical tongue and groove connection. The tongue and groove connection provides a sliding connection that allows the beams to be easily connected and disconnected from the connection blocks without the need of tools. Consequently, the ceiling beam grid can be easily reconfigured to accommodate changes in the room below.
SPLICE PLATE WITH A CAM LOCK
A splice plate for joining and aligning extruded trim strips used in suspended ceiling islands and fascias. The splice plate has at least one cam lock connected to a base plate by a fastener. The fastener passes through an aperture in the cam lock and an aperture formed by a projection in the base plate that projects a distance from the face of the base plate. To prevent deformation of the trim strips, the cam lock and base plate may each include bend lines forming an obtuse angle wherein the obtuse angle of the cam lock is less than the obtuse angle of the base plate.
CEILING SYSTEMS
A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid comprised of a plurality of intersecting grid support members and a ceiling tile mountable to the grid. Retaining clips support the ceiling tile from the grid which may be concealed from view. The retaining clips each include a cavity that receives a grid support member and a pair of resilient mounting elements configured to lockingly engage a support member. The mounting elements are laterally movable in response to inserting the support member into the cavity of the retaining clip. In one embodiment, the movable elements include locking tabs which create a snap-fit interlock with the grid support member for securing the ceiling tile to the grid.
Ceiling support systems
A ceiling support system includes a support beam configured to enable modular assembly of the dropped ceiling and including a core portion. A length of a face of the core portion extends along a first axis transverse to a length of first and second lateral sides of the core portion, which extends along a second axis. The support beam includes a base, a first hook extension having a first clip ledge extending from the first lateral side of the core portion and a first lip extending from a first distal edge of the first clip ledge, and a second hook extension having a second clip ledge extending from the first lateral side of the core portion and a second lip extending from a second distal edge of the second clip ledge. The first hook extension and the second hook extension are configured to receive a slidable joining clip therebetween.
Linear panel
A linear wall or ceiling panel comprising and formed from a woven or non-woven fibrous material. Preferably, the material is thermoformable and non-woven and comprises at least one of the group consisting of: bi-core polyester fibers; two different types of fibers having different melting points; a mixture of bi-core polyester fibers and non-bi-core (single core) polyester fibers. The panel is preferably shaped to provide means for mounting the panel to a carrier. Optionally, an end portion may be provided to cover the open longitudinal end of the linear panel.
False ceiling system
The present invention relates to a false ceiling mounting system that is simple and effective, while also allowing quick disassembly for inspection or total removal. To this end, a section bar with resilient tabs is provided, the false ceiling panel being fit between two section bars.
