PRECURSOR FOR A FURRING CHANNEL CLIP, FURRING CHANNEL CLIP FORMED THEREFROM, METHOD OF MAKING A FURRING CHANNEL CLIP, AND METHOD OF MOUNTING A FURRING CHANNEL TO A LOAD BEARING MEMBER
Disclosed is a precursor for a clip and a clip formed by the precursor. The clip is configured for mounting a furring channel to a load-bearing member and is a generally U-shaped member having a pair of sidewalls, each of which includes a pair of tabs projecting therefrom. The clip is arranged to receive the load-bearing member between its sidewalls, such that the tabs can be snap-fit under inwardly directed flanges of the furring channel. Also disclosed is a method of forming the clip from the precursor, by bending portions of the precursor to form the sidewalls of the clip, and a method for mounting a furring channel onto a load-bearing member using the clip.
Housing construction system
A wall surfacing system for providing a secondary ceiling or wall covering structure adjacent a primary structure. The system provides a plurality of elongated structural support rails, each of these support rails have a coupling web with a bearing surface for attachment to the primary structure, a coupling mechanism, and a portion integrally formed with and connecting the coupling web to the coupling mechanism. A plurality of generally planar surface panels are provided. Each panel has an integral interlocking member configured to mate with the coupling mechanism on the support rail. The elongated support rails are secured to primary structures, thereby extending the surface panels to form an aesthetically pleasing covered surface.
CEILING SUPPORT SYSTEMS
A ceiling support system includes a support beam configured to enable modular assembly of the dropped ceiling and including a core portion. A length of a face of the core portion extends along a first axis transverse to a length of first and second lateral sides of the core portion, which extends along a second axis. The support beam includes a base, a first hook extension having a first clip ledge extending from the first lateral side of the core portion and a first lip extending from a first distal edge of the first clip ledge, and a second hook extension having a second clip ledge extending from the first lateral side of the core portion and a second lip extending from a second distal edge of the second clip ledge. The first hook extension and the second hook extension are configured to receive a slidable joining clip therebetween.
Clip and method of using the clip to mount a furring channel on an elongated load bearing member of a drywall grid system
Disclosed is a clip and method of mounting a furring channel to a load bearing member of a drywall grid system. The load bearing member includes an elongated web having an enlarged upper portion and a lower portion from which a pair of coplanar flanges projecting outward. The clip includes a bottom wall and an end wall from which two hanger hooks project upward. Each hanger hook includes a folded over portion configured to snap-fit and entrap a portion of the enlarged upper portion of the load bearing member, with the bottom wall being disposed on one of flanges of the load bearing member. A second clip is mounted on the load bearing member in a similar manner so that its bottom wall is disposed on the other of the flanges of the load bearing member, and with the hanger hooks of the two clips being interposed. A respective furring channel is mounted on each of the clip to be supported thereby.
LINEAR METAL CEILING COMPONENTS
A linear metal ceiling system having improved carrier and pan geometries that afford improved versatility in pan widths and shapes, and improved pan retention force. Accessories for joining carriers together and for attaching perimeter trim strips are disclosed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FRAMING COMPONENTS INCLUDING BRACKETS WITH FLEX-FIT FLANGES
A bracket is disclosed. The bracket is coupled to a joist by rotating the bracket relative to the joist until the longitudinal axis of the bracket is aligned in parallel orientation with the longitudinal axis of the joist to achieve a snap-in engagement. The bracket includes a first bracket section having a first lateral wing and an opposite second lateral wing extending outwardly from a base of the first bracket section and a second bracket section that is aligned in perpendicular orientation relative to the first bracket section. The first lateral wing is configured to flex relative to the base, and the second lateral wing is configured to flex relative to the base during engagement of the bracket to a joist.
Clip, ceiling base, and method for constructing same
A clip that fixes a ceiling joist intersecting a ceiling joist receiver to the ceiling joist receiver, includes: a top portion having a width of the ceiling joist receiver; a first hanging portion hanging down from one end of the top portion, and provided with, at a lower portion, first engaging projections extending left and right to engage the ceiling joist; and a second hanging portion hanging down from another end of the top portion, and provided with, at a lower portion, second engaging projections extending left and right to lock the ceiling joist. The first hanging portion has a length longer than that of the second hanging portion, and a recess extending in a direction toward the second hanging portion is provided at an intermediate position of the first hanging portion.
Partition support structure mounting track
The track is elongate such that it extends along a longitudinal axis. The track comprises an alignment feature located at a predetermined alignment position along the longitudinal axis of the track. The alignment feature is configured to secure a partition support member at the alignment position when the partition support member is received by the track. The alignment feature comprises one of a projection or recess configured to engage with the other of a projection or recess of the partition support member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BRACKET CONFIGURATIONS OF A FRAMING ASSEMBLY
A framing assembly is disclosed. The framing assembly includes a bracket defining a first bracket section and a second bracket section aligned in perpendicular relation relative to the first bracket section along a bracket bend. The bracket includes a first slit and a second slit formed along the second bracket section. The first slit and the second slit define a tapered or triangular shape. The first bracket section includes a plurality of linear sides and corners defined along the linear sides. The first bracket section may be coupled to a joist by disposing the first bracket section within an interior portion of a joist defined by a web, flanges, and returns of the joist. The linear sides and the corners of the bracket facilitate the bracket to snap in place within the interior portion of the joist and the first slit and the second slit receive the returns of the joist.
OPEN PLENUM UTILITY CHANNEL
A utility channel comprising a plurality of channels and accessory components, the channels having a rectangular cross section with a bottom wall and horizontally spaced parallel sidewalls extending upwardly from lateral edges of the bottom wall, opposed inturned flanges at upper edges of the sidewalls, the flanges having notches open at flange edges distal from a respective sidewall, in alignment with the notches of the opposed flange and uniformly spaced along the length of the channel, the accessory components in the channel interior space engage the flanges to maintain their assembled position in the channel interior space.
