Acoustic Ceiling Panel, Method of Manufacture and Acoustic Ceiling system
The present disclosure relates generally to acoustic panels, for example, suitable for use in a ceiling to control sound. The present disclosure relates more particularly to an acoustic ceiling panel including an acoustic substrate formed of a porous material having an air flow resistivity of at least 300 kPa*s/m.sup.2. The acoustic substrate includes an upper face and a lower face with a pattern of perforations formed therein, where the pattern of perforations covers at least 6% of the area of the lower face. The acoustic ceiling panel also includes a backing layer disposed over the upper face of the acoustic substrate and a veil disposed over the lower face.
Illuminated Acoustic Ceiling Element and Illuminated Acoustic Ceiling System
The present disclosure relates generally to lighting elements, for example, suitable for use illuminating a ceiling. The present disclosure relates more particularly to an illuminated acoustic ceiling element including an acoustic substrate having an upper face and a lower face, an air permeable layer disposed under the lower face of the acoustic substrate and spaced from the acoustic substrate, and a light source supported by the acoustic substrate and configured to emit light through the air permeable layer.
SUSPENDED TILE SYSTEM AND ABSORBER TILE ELEMENT
An absorber tile element includes compressed mineral fiber material and has a first major surface, an opposing second major surface and at least one side edge surface, and an anchor element associated with one of the first and second major surface or one of the at least one side edge surfaces. The anchor element includes a head portion and a threaded portion, the head portion defining an open cavity facing a top surface. An engagement member is arranged in the cavity, and arranged to engage with a hook element. The threaded portion is threaded into the absorber tile element such that the head portion becomes substantially recessed in the absorber tile element. A corresponding tile system can includes the absorber tile element.
Suspended ceiling hanger clip
The present invention relates to a suspended ceiling hanger clip and a suspended ceiling formed using the hanger clip. The suspended ceiling hanger clip has a longitudinally extending base having a first end and a second end and a pair of generally parallel co-extensive flanges extending downwardly from the base. At least one projection in each flange is formed with a ramp surface. An aperture is formed in the base for receiving an upper end of the elongate suspension rod therein. The suspension rod has a longitudinal axis extending along a length between spaced apart upper and lower ends, with the lower end having an attachment means. The upper end of the suspension rod extends through and is fixedly retained from removal from the aperture in the base of the hanger clip.
Ceiling system and hanger for suspending ceiling tiles or panels therefrom
A hanger for suspending tiles or panels from a ceiling or roof, and a ceiling system incorporating the hanger, is provided. The hanger comprises a suspension member securable to the ceiling, having a longitudinal axis, and a panel mount coupled to the suspension member and releasably securable to each of a multiple panels to hold the multiple panels in a spaced relation from the ceiling on a common plane.
ACOUSTIC BAFFLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A clip and a frame element are provided that facilitate multiple connection options for a vertically-mounted acoustic baffle in a single system. Kits comprising the clip, frame element and an acoustic baffle are also provided.
CEILING SYSTEM
A ceiling system including a support grid and a panel assembly. The panel assembly includes backslats that are arranged parallel to one another, panels that are coupled to the backslats, and mounting assemblies for mounting the panel assembly to the support grid. The mounting assemblies include a mounting bracket and a torsion spring. A first pair of the mounting assemblies is coupled to a first one of the backslats and a second pair of the mounting assemblies is coupled to a second one of the backslats. The panel assembly may be mounted to the support grid via the torsion springs of the first pair of the mounting assemblies engaging a first one of the first grid beams of the support grid and the torsion springs of the second pair of the mounting assemblies engaging a second one of the first grid beams of the support grid
HOUSINGS AND ASSOCIATED DESIGN FEATURES FOR CEILING ARRAY MICROPHONES
Housings and associated mechanical and ornamental design features directed to ceiling-mounted electro-acoustical components, such as array microphones, for example, for use in a suspended ceiling, are provided. In an embodiment, a housing for a ceiling array microphone is configured for mounting the microphone within a grid system of a suspended ceiling. The housing comprises a mounting element for mounting the housing within the grid system. The mounting element includes a lipped portion positioned approximate a periphery of the housing and configured to engage the grid when the housing is mounted with the grid system.
Baffle system
There is provided a ceiling baffle system having at least one ceiling support member and at least one baffle extending transversely relative to the at least one support member. The baffle has a baffle body portion with a baffle upper edge portion. At least one receiving slot extends from the upper edge into the body and receives the ceiling support member therewithin for coupling and suspending the baffle from the ceiling support member. At least one spacer extends parallel relative to the support member and has a spacer member body portion and a spacer member lower edge portion. At least one baffle retaining slot extends from the lower edge portion into the spacer member body portion. The baffle retaining slot receives at least the upper edge portion of the baffle to position, angularly orient and retain the baffle relative to the spacer member.
